For anyone out there like me that is about to do their first ever cycle, let me share a few things I learned.
The oil can be hard to draw up. I bought a bunch of 25g needles since that seemed to be the size that works best for minimizing PIP. The problem is that the 25g needle will not draw up the oil. So buy a bigger needle like 18g for the draw, then switch the the 25g.
Your going to be nervous. Don't forget to aspirated. I was so nervous, I just jabbed it in and started depressing. It wasn't until I was done that I realized I forgot to aspirated. Fortunately for me, I didn't hit a blood vessel.
Use a heating pad. I read someone else's suggestion to use a heating pad to warm up the oil. It works really well. I have absolutely zero PIP on the second pinning.
Be patient with injecting. It goes slow through a 25g needle. At first I thought it was stuck and nothing was coming out. I started freaking out and regrouped the plunger several times trying to press the plunger down harder. That's not the problem. You do need to press pretty firmly, but you don't have to give it everything you've got. Keep your eye on the plunger. You will see it moving. Just very slowly. I was so rough the first time gripping and re-gripping that I'm surprised I didn't snap the needle off.
