Is there any point to doing B-12 injections if you don't have a deficiency? I've seen conflicting information that suggests it would help with energy and appetite. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Some people have increased energy and elevated appetite while taking B12. Dosing is usually 500-1000mcg per day. It's very inexpensive so if you have low appetite it can be a useful tool. I have used it in the past when my appetite has tanked and had trouble eating anything. Once my appetite was back on track I would discontinue using it and continue on trekking. In Canada, where we get the big sloppy shaft on all pricing, its $7 per 1000mcg/mL, 10mL bottle, so I imagine the USA/Europe is comparable if not cheaper.
Damn you guys are lucky, we can only get injectible b12 in the uk on a script!
