Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me the shelf life of Test and Deca? I have both but I’m having to wait a while before I use it because I’m 46 and haven’t worked out in 10 years. I just started working out this week and of course I’m having to go really slow.

When exactly did you buy it ?

It loses some amount of potency over time (years not months) but assuming it has been kept in a cool, dark environment it's good for quite a while. If it's from the pharmacy you can easily use it a year or two past expiration date. If it's UGL then the expiration date is moreso a formality than a hard guideline. Also depends somewhat on whether the cap was removed and has been drawn from or never used at all.

I may be wrong but I think Ethyl Oleate is also better than BA/BB in terms of preservation.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I just bought it last week and it actually comes from the chemical plant where they fill orders for physicians. Sounds like I have time to wait as long asI want. I just want to be sure I get a little foundation back before I go Ham in there. I could feel my tendons and joints while doing light weight. Yesterday was the first day I actually tore anything down. I did legs and they are definitely torn down good. That being said, I have a few more weeks before I can start because I don’t want to injure myself. Thanks again for the help.

What exactly do you mean by the chemical plant where they fill orders ? What brand do you have ?

Also, at 46 years old have you done any bloodwork to check your hormone levels? As well, are you currently on TRT or have you considered hormone replacement therapy? I would strongly suggest you read the TRT section if you are not currently on it and decide whether it would be worthwhile for you after doing blood work.

If the end decision is that you do not want to do TRT then I would not recommend Deca .

Maybe I worded it wrong but it comes from where they bottle it up to send to pharmacies, doctors etc. I have had blood work and everything is in normal range but on the low side. The only thing that was completely out of range was dhea and it was low. What specifically about Deca doesn’t sound right for me? Thanks

Deca which is a socalled 19nor is extremely though on your naturall test production. Worse than test. All "19 nors" are.
At 46 its very possible your recovery, even with a optimal pct, will not be 100%.
And if your already normal low it could be the tip which makes your default too bad for feeling ok.

So if you really dont wanna do trt, its far better to pimp your testrun with a dht derivative like masteron or even orals.
Or the best if u ask me, SARMs, 25 mg LGD ed f.i.

One more question. Several of my friends have used the gear that I have and they made massive gains so Is it possible that I need to run a little bit lower dose than normal since it's pharmaceutical grade?

I normally stock up on gear when I have a reputable source, I have used test that is 3 years past expiration date and have never had an issue.
I actually have had higher levels on UGL vs test bought from the pharmacy at the same dosage.
Once again store it in a dark place cool place.

One thing to mention about the expiration date on all drugs. The actual date that drugs lose effectiveness is different on all of them.
The federal government has billions of dollars worth of drugs stockpiled in case of a world disaster. They test drugs in storage and a lot of them are good for over 30 years.

A friend of mine that is in the pharmaceutical industries also says that some drugs actually get more potent with age. The basic 2 year expiration date was made up by the FDA and pharmaceutical companies decades ago. The 2 year rule is basically to be on the safe side and I am sure it helps the drug companies bottom line also.

Yea I know there are safety reasons but I guarantee you’re right that they’re gonna do everything they can to make themselves richer. I mean a billion dollars isn’t enough, they need 2 billion lol. Thanks for the reply

Someone elses gains or gear has no relevancy on your own cycles. They wouldn't know the dose of the UGL gear and it could easily be dosed the exact same as pharma grade.

I don't mind at all if you know who I am but I refuse to comment on anything that could possibly get my source in trouble. It may be a 1 in a 1,000 chance but if I say a brand someone on here might have an idea of where it comes from and that could turn into a problem if someone really wanted to cause one.

After just starting training again after 10 years you should really be getting 1w months of training naturally in before you run a test only cycle. There is a sticky about planning a first cycle. When ready you should follow it.

If you run deca, at any age, you are likely to not fully recover to pre cycle length natural testosterone levels.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I’m waiting. That’s what my original question was about. I had asked about the shelf life because I have this gear but I can’t start it until I work myself back into shape and start growing naturally.
