Methods to increase the chance of getting prescribed TRT?

    Age: 36

    Cycle history:
    • I started doing prohormones about 10 years ago. Did about 5 cycles with no stacking.
    • Switched to test about 5 years ago. I have done about 1 cycle a year at around 400mg/week for 10 weeks.

    Reason for wanting TRT:
    • My energy and libido are nothing like they used to be, except for when I'm on a cycle.
    • The obvious physical appearance changes I go through when on a cycle garners too much attention from family and coworkers, that I do not want.
    • I tend to lose most of the progress I make from cycles.
    • The consistency of TRT seems like it would be all-around healthier than a typical cycle protocol, where you go from being on nothing to all of the sudden having supraphysiological test levels.

I have heard from natural body builders that when they get their test levels done at the end of a cut, that their levels tank to really low amounts. I was wondering if anyone could verify this, or give other advice in terms of increasing one's chances of getting prescribed?

I have a potential doctor, someone who I know personally and trust. I just don't want to ruin the chance of getting my TRT from him, by having him order my bloodwork, then somehow end up testing just above the threshold for which he would prescribe.

yes lots of hormones in the body 'crash' and decline when your natural and on a contest prep diet for 16+ weeks. thats why natural competitive bodybuilding is more unhealthy then enhanced bodybuilding . but would you really want to go through a long cut diet and suffer for that long just to tank your natty test levels ?

simply go and get private blood work yourself ahead of time so you know where you stand . if your levels are low but not that low, your doc probably wont prescribe test, but being your over 35 years of age an anti aging clinic likely would prescribe you test (and hgh, and maybe some var and primo)

I think brain fog has more causes than just low T
Specifically some addictions can cause brain fog because you're chasing that feeling over and over

Use large amounts of testosterone for 7 or 8 weeks, stop and then make blood work after 21 days, your T levels will be extremly low, low enough to convince a doctor to prescribe trt. That's one possible way.

-Your right to not stress your preferred doc. The more he is thinks it is the right idea to do it the less resistance you will have and therefore more influence you can wield over the course of your relationship.
-A consideration about post cycle method. Might it not throw to many things out of whack? If a doc sees that everything is cool except test wouldn't that demand the focus of the intervention?
-Private BW good, perhaps keep a log of a few weeks of the factors which would influence hormonal fluctuations so you can duplicate the condition when you get the BW at his lab.
-Perhaps going into the doctors office with your own private labs would very likely compel him to order BW anyway?

    Go for it.
You are 36. Why fk around with test in lower levels when you can be sitting 1200 or above all the time?

    Welcome sir.
You know the game, you been here before. Welcome to blast and cruise, stay thirsty my friend.

any doc worth his salt willl look at other factors , like LH and FSH levels, estradiol , etc. and those numbers will likely be skewed and the doc will know he was running exogenous test, or doc will think there could be other issues going on besides just low T (like a pituitary tumor). instead of gettin on TRT he'll end being sent for a brain scan lol.

    I don't recommend doing this

99% dont have a half ass idea, where I am. Ffs my brother was prescribed 200mg of test cyp every 2 weeks. Ultimate rollercoaster ride.
2-6 weeks after pct would be a great time.

    Its not just test.
I have never seen a doctor in the midwest prescribe any medication according to its half life.
I see pharmacists shaking their head pretty often. Especially in regards to pain killers.

Typically cutting = reduction of calories and fat is used for hormone production. No fats in diet = important hormone production suffers.

If he orders FSH/LH levels then trying to blast high Test to manipulate bloodwork will backfire as the FSH and LH levels will come back as 0, raising red flags for the doctor.

You could try pulling fats out of your diet for say 2 or 3 days. Then don't sleep the night before the test + drink alcohol. Should get fairly low levels with that combination.

As another poster mentioned, run the bloodwork privately first to see how you stand.

I didn't expect to get so many responses, so quickly. Thanks guys, this is all really helpful.

When I cut, I don't get as extreme as competitors training for the stage. I typically drop calories about by about 50 or 100 once every couple of weeks.

As for the anti-aging clinic, I didn't even know that was a thing. Sounds like they give out the really good stuff, but I am guessing it is more expensive and may be seen as a luxury more than a medical necessity...meaning insurance won't cover it?

Looks like I won't be going this route!

Sounds good. Things I have been reading have said similar things. I also added soy and flax seeds into my diet, as apparently those lower test levels a bit. In the meanwhile, I think I should try to get a better feel for his process by calling him up and asking him how low one's results would have to be in order for him to prescribe anything.

if you don't really have clinical low T , but you want to try and manipulate your blood work to show low T (temporarily) so that your doc will prescribe you something you want .. then you are manipulating your doc

No it isn't wrong that we need to manipulate them, whats wrong and frankly disgusting imo is the American medical community essentially believing feeling better/good is bad. Almost every drug/therapy that actually works is extremely difficult to obtain in the U.S compared to other countries. Could go on about this with insane stories but its just not worth it. The real drugs get replaced with watered down ones that rarely do anything (e.g doctor will not prescibe ativan and gives busporine instead). Just like with this shit the real thing(test injections) get replaced with watered down patches or whatever.

You literally are seen as less of a human being here, it isn't nice. God help you have some painful condition or extreme anxiety lol.

    Another question:

Is it true that if you admit past test usage to the doctor, that your insurance will not cover any prescribed TRT since it is seen as your fault for needing it?

And would the same go for prohormones, even if you were taking them back when they were legal?

Try D-aspartic acid and pregnelone for a few weeks then stop. Then get bloods 10 days after.

    Should lower you a bit

I don't believe it's a black and white yes/no answer since every Insurance policy is different and the law varies by location. The advice I have always seen people give is never tell about gear usage.

Isn’t pregnelone in birth control? What’s the theory behind the aspartic acid lowering T?

    Got my blood test back.

    Age: 36

    Total Test: 419

    Free Test: 6.8

    Estradiol: 10.5

    Prolactin: 17.1

There are some other things on here, but I think those are the important ones. Looks like I will be starting on Test and HCG soon, so that is good.
