Free Test a bit high...what does this mean?

Hi Everyone,

My latest lab has my Free T slight above normal. What would cause this and should I be concerned? Total T is good and E2 a little lower than I would like. Not using any AI.

More than likely you make lower than normal SHBG. I'd have that tested next time. It probably explains why you need less Total T.

Slightly above normal is just fine. Remember BW is just a snapshot in time and we are all different. Do what 55 said and test your shbg next time to establish a baseline for future BW.

Example: About two months ago I pulled BW on about 100 mgs per week. Total T came in at 535, Free T at 39.9 on a scale of 6.6 - 18.1. You can imagine how low my shbg is.....

Sorry I did test my SHBG and it was around 39 (range 16.5-55.9). PSA has elevated now to 4.1 which now has me concerned. However this may be off due to sex within the 24hr prior to BW.
