    Well doc said it's not a kidney stone, but she has no clue what it is.

    Well the doc just caleed with the results of all my tests. It's not a kidney stone (thank god). But she doesn't know what is causing the abdominal pain, lower back pain, and the blood in my urine. So now I'm quite worried as to what it is. She told me to quit takingthe pain killers but that isn't going to happen... see I don't like laying on the floor in the fetal position do to pain so I think I'll keep taking them until we can figure out what the poblem is. Bad thing is I can't afford to go back and see her until I get paid next friday... not this friday.

    If you start barfing up neon colors(orange, green, etc.) then it's a gall stone. Allthough that took about a year of my parents ignoring me when I said it wasn't just another stomach ache

    Blood in the urine I would attribute to some sort of a urinary tract infection or kidney disorder. The abdominal pain? Where exactly is it?

    Bro, I'm happy to hear it's not a kidney stone but feel bad they don't know what it is. Just an idea, call the doc and explain your situation concerning the "out of cash experience" your going through. I'll bet she'll delay the bill or something. I had to do that once, had a cool doc and we worked out a plan. Let me know if I can help you out.

    Well my kidneys feel sore but not to the touch, and the area below my belly button I have sharp steady pains. I also have blood in the urine. I am almost done withthe cycle and have been on fina for almost 3 weeks now. I'm going to wean myself off of the vicodin but if the pain flas up don't thinkI won't be popping a couple.

    BT, I think you need to get a complete bio-chem bro. The combination of those symptoms has me a little concerned.

    She couldn't offer any guess on a diagnosis?

    I have heard urinary tract infections are very painful-like you are describing. Though they are not as common in men, ill bet the fina didnt help anything.
    I also agree with pheedno on having a complete analysis of your bloodwork.

    Well she just figured kidney stone and jumped onthe wagon. Didn't bother running any other kinds of tests. I'm gonna try and get in to see her tomorrow.

    Tex - a couple years ago I was eating with my family, and my brother started to feel bad. He went off to the bathroom. When I eventually went back there to see what the hell was wrong with him, he popped his head up above the toilet, and he was *blue*, and sweating his a$$ off. We ended up going to the emergency room because when I took him to his car (I was driving obviously) he said he had so much pain like you're describing that he couldn't sit up, so he curled up in the fetal position in the back seat.

    When we got to the emergency room, he was still in so much pain that he curled up in the fetal position on the tile floor, prompting an old granny with blood coming out of her head to say "let that young man go ahead of me."

    When we eventually got in, the doctor assumed it was a kidney stone. They ran tests, and my brother pissed in a cup, the whole nine yards. The long and short of it is that he ended up being in the hospital 8 hours or so, and he took home some pain killers, and they never "found" the stone. They are guessing that he passed it and didn't notice it at the hospital, or somewhere else. The bottom line is that he had a stone, but it caused him a lot more pain in the lower abdominal/back area than he had ever previously felt, and when/where he actually passed the stone was inconsequential compared to the internal havoc it was wreaking otherwise. I know this probably doesn't help you too much, but I just thought I'd share with you the possibility that this could be the case.

    One other option as well: appendicitis. Have you had your appendix removed yet? If not, this could be the culprit.

    Gotta love my docotr, I called back to get an appointment for today or tomorrow telling her that the pain is still there and that my piss is getting darker and that it's probably blood. Well she said the color of my urine is most likely not blood but from my multi-vitamin that I take (yeah maybe the first piss of the day, after that it's pretty much outta my system) and to give the pain a few more days to see if it just doesn't go away. I told her I've had these pains since Wednesday and she just goes, well give it until Friday and if it's still persisting than call for an appointment. What the hell kinda crap is that?!?!?!?!?! God I'm pissed!

    No I haven't had my appendix removed yet so.... it could be a number of things. Just pisses me off that my doctor wants me to just wait a few days... hell it's been a fucking week already, how much longer do I need to wait?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    If you have insurance I would suggest you go to the emergency room, it could very well be your appendix. If that doesnt get treated in time you could be looking at some serious infection, NOT GOOD. Just a suggestion....

    Just a thought, but in rare instances, don't some fina users report these exact same symptoms. I don't know if that's been entirely "debunked" or is still viewed as a legit claim/side effect.

    What you should really do is move to Canada, at least you don't have to pay for the doc

    I'm totally stumped, got no clue what is wrong. I'm surprised your doctor is being such a bitch. My uncle had a kidney stone once, but it wasn't nearly as bad as you have it (or at least I don't think it was). He didn't pass it thru urine tho, I think they did some kind of laser surgery, or something and got rid of it. I don't get wut the hell your doctor is doing here. If it's still hurting, and she doesn't even KNOW what the hell it is, she should be trying harder dammit! Have you told her about the juice? Although, I wouldn't be surprised if she would just quickly dump it all on the sauce and say it's from that.

    Is it possible it is some kind of STD? Any chance of that? Not necessarily from sex, maybe could have even gotten it some othe way? Not sure bro, explore all avenues.

    Well since I'm married and I don't cheat. And with all the fighting me and the wife have been doing it's been roughly 5 or 6 months since I've gotten any except old rightie in the shower I think I can say it's not an STD. Sorry bro I'm not laughing at ya, just the fact that I haven't gotten any in a looooong time.......

    In all honesty I'm extremely concerned. I just want to know what it is. Hell all that keeps popping up in my head is cancer..... it runs rampid in my family. And that scares the crap outta me. I may just give up and schedule to see a specialist or just go to the ER.

    With cancer being rampid in the family, that's a big concern bro! Now you're scarying me too!! I think you should go see a specialist or to the ER IMMEDIATELY. Demand to have more tests done! You can sue the doctor for not taking you seriously, and delaying action, ESPECIALLY if it turns out to be cancer, God forbid. Stay positive, and think positive, and let's all hope it's nothing too serious. BUT still you gotta reach the bottom of this!!!
