Stock up before the shelves are cleared

If there's any measurable amount of civil disturbance as a consequence of the November 3rd elections, the sheeple will panic-buy and the grocery stores will all run short of TP and staples and lord only knows what else. So you might want to hedge your bets and beat them to the punch. Remember that the 19th Century pioneers traveled from sea to shining sea subsisting on little more than beans and rice and still endured months of daily hard physical labor. So as long as you've got at least that much, you might complain about the lack of variety but you're not likely to starve. And as inconsiderate as the fucks were with their panic-buying from the coronavirus plandemic, under the looming threat of violent civil unrest, I suspect they will do worse still.

Hedge your bets and make sure you've got enough staples and non-perishables laid by for you and yours for a few weeks, and get to it before the locusts have descended and stripped the shelved bare.

I had a laugh at the toilet paper purchasing trend...

Personally, if it ever gets that bad, why and how my hand smells, is likely to rank quite low on my list of concerns...

Let's hope that cooler heads prevail, and there is no civil unrest when the election results come in. (NEVER thought I would be writing those words, concerning my own country.)

Everybody should be stocked up, but I doubt they are. Very few people learn from the past and even less plan for the future.

Even if you don't believe civil unrest is going to happen (or disrupt anything), you should still have preps. A natural disaster can shut down the supply chains for quite a while. Hell, you could lose your job tomorrow and not having to worry about where your family's next meal or TP roll is going to come from, is a major stress relief.
