Three years ago I went to a church out in the N. Irish countryside. This church was the scene of a murder in the 1980's when the IRA came in and opened fired, killing three people and injurying others.
There was a guest speaker named Andy this day in the church and he had come to give his testimony. I have heard a few Christian testimonies in person, and I've listened to a few on SermonAudio.com, but Andy's will always stand out for me.
It's about 60 minutes long. He speaks with a N. Irish accent so here's a little help for Americans:
1) He pronounces the word "to" as "til", e.g. I walked til the shop, I walked intil the kitchen
2) He uses the word "wee" to mean "little", e.g. a wee girl = a little girl
3) When he says "The Province", he's referring to N. Ireland
4) His pronunciation of the word "poor" sounds a bit like "pair" (as in a pair of socks). He frequently says the term "spiritually poor".
I sat and had a cup of tea and biscuits with Andy afterward and shook his hand. Having met that man and shook his hand has been one of the top 3 privileges in my life to date.
