    Expired gear

Show of hands, who here has any concerns using expired gear?

I have a few bottles of sust, deca, and cyp that expired back in 2017 and 2018. I am planning on using them and dont expect any issues.

But to go one level deeper, would you use a almost full bottle of gear that was expired that you had pinned from several years ago? That one is probably not as worth it IMO.

Let me know what you think gents.

I have used gear that I have had for years and years.
Probably not the best example to follow, but I haven’t had any issues.

Hahaha, I thought that may be what the general sentiment might be.

I guess my question was more as if a bottle I pinned several years ago would still be sterile and safe.

I would assume, but sometimes those 18ga drawling needles damn near pull a plug. (Part of the reason I now like to drawl with 25ga and inject with slin pinz)

Were your diligent with swabbing the stopper with wipes? I’d just make sure there’s no particulates in the vial, if it’s 50/50 I’d error on the side of caution. Why risk it over 3/4 of a vial, ya know? Sealed and expired vials...no brainer. I’ve used test cyp that was 6 years past expiration and it was money

I’d use the unopened ones for sure. Probably trash the opened one, although i have used previously stuck vials in the past with no issues but i was nervous. Always have heated the gear to sterlize. Id say you were good to go

I just started this morning with some tren that I have had open for years. I thought about it for a minute.

the only real issue with expired gear is if it goes rancid. BA and BB are both considered preservatives so the oil will not go rancid as fast. the open vial is no issue as long as your aseptic technique is up to par. there are oils that have longer shelf lifes, and when i make my own i use a blend of oils. one of the oils is strictly to help with shelf life.

Yeah I am always super diligent about cleaning the vial tops and only putting fresh pins into vials.

I may try a small amount of the opened stuff. I figure a smaller payload theoretically should cause less damage if there is an issue...

But I may just say to hell with it and play it safe.

What I really need is customs to hustle the hell up....

I received an order of 6 deca bottles from overseas that were set to expire in a couple of months. Right now I'm using a bottle that expired in 2019. I think it depends on how the stuff was made.

Yeah, I would agree, pharma, vs vet, vs UGL probably makes a big difference.... but I would not sweat a few months or a year in most cases.

I found some particulate in the open sust so I am going to trash that one, still deciding on the the cyp and deca.

It's all about risk and reward....
