I have never aspirated. I'm not talented enough to do that when I'm self-pinning my glutes. Course I've never pinned anywhere that generally has alot of veins.

But.... I’ve caught a vessel on one or two occasions so it’s something that I do every time I inject

is it necessary no you just risk injecting into your blood stream which I've done before even with aspirating. I remember someone saying a while back that nurses weren't even taught to do it anymore.

I never aspirate. I've had a little tickle in my lungs and coughed a couple of times before injecting some stuff with gnarly solvents, but never with anything regular.

I do it every time out of habit.

I will tell you though, I used to inject in my quads a lot, and no matter if I aspirated or not, there'd be about a 25% chance that I'd get some in a vein and I'd be on the floor coughing my lungs up.

Non AAS related: I threw out my back some time back and at the ER, they gave me this shot of this anti-inflammatory called Toradol. The nurse injected it in my glute, she didn't aspirate. And she does this sort of stuff all day everyday.
