You too, S&D!! Getting ready to go around and make sure all of the gates are locked and settle in for the evening.

    Hell ya AG, love it.

It’s pounding snow here and the roads are awful (too bad we didn’t have this snow yesterday. Say a a prayer for Colorado fellas). Gonna watch a little college football and boil some crab legs.

    I won’t no part of Joe Public…

Have a nice bottle of champagne for mama and I and some non alcoholic bubbly for the boys. Got in a quick chest workout today and am good with starting off the new year in my pajamas

If I eat all of this, I definitely won't make it until midnight unless there's trouble! Y'all stay safe.

Ignore the small cornbread muffins. The skillet is still in the oven

Dang man, aren't there wildfires out that way, too? What a sh!tshow.

Y'all hunker down and enjoy the meal!

You are southern fried brother, so good!

Guessing that’s some pork butt? I see black eyed peas, collard greens, mashed sweet potatoes and some corn bread! (How’d I do?). Lol

    Yummy!

About 20 miles south of me. Spent all night waiting on a couple good friends who were on pre evacuation notice. We had 100 MPH winds. Luckily my crew was spared, not the same for their neighbors. Wildfires in December, just crazy. Over 30,000 people evacuated and over 500 homes lost. Count your blessings boys.

    Appreciate it!

Yes sir, the skillet wasn't ready so Mrs. AG made some cornbread muffins in a pan.

LOL, I'm the oddball hillbilly that doesn't do pork. Stopped pork a few decades ago except for an occasional pizza.

I do miss fatback and gravy, but I'd hate to see my labs if I still ate that way regularly.

We bought an iron skillet. It’s getting seasoned up very nicely!

Perfect. Once it's seasoned and has a few things cooked in it, there's a whole new level of flavor coming to the table.

Mmmm....that's pure T goodness right there!! Big honking crab legs, too. Crab legs are one of the few foods that doesn't require "special" butter.

I do have a “special” dessert I’m going to partake in, in just a few minutes. Lets hope Dad can make it to midnight!

Happy new Year everyone! It is so nice to see the y’all on here.
I’m in Mexico visiting the sweet dragon lady ( mother in law). My suegra ( MIL) is a great person and I don’t say that in disrespect. A Mexican friend taught me that years ago.
We will be outside at 12 midnight…: if I can stay awake. [emoji23]
At least now they don’t shoot off guns like they used to… just fireworks (illegal of course). They also banned bonfires.

S&D- 20 miles is nothing with wind. I am from a fire prone area. Scary as shit how fast they travel. You don’t realize it until it’s reality.

Oh yeah, bring on that flavor level!

We had a real nice steak chili tonight. My wife can cook up a storm, but gotta say, your plate of food was mighty nice!

You know I’ve got an Easy E story that has to do with soul food. . . .

Sounds fun Charger! Oh you’re absolutely right about the wind and fire. Luckily Mother Nature dropped 6” of snow today, she’s just a day late unfortunately.

I’m keeping this NYE thread positive, the fires here have been heavy duty. That reality can wait until tomorrow.

The dragon lady, hilarious! Stay safe brother!
