Ingrown Toenail Removal - How long out of the gym?

Wondering if anyone else had ingrown toenail removal procedure done. If so how long were you out of the gym?

I got it done 1 day ago and there is zero chance I could do cardio for a while it seems and just walking around the house gingerly it throbs somewhat, so I am hoping maybe 3-4 days and I’d be able to go and at least lift?

Depends on if they removed the whole nail or just cut the area that's growing into your toe.

If it's the whole nail, you might could try a recumbent bike for your cardio so that the pressure is more on towards the arch if your foot.

If it's the whole nail and they cauterized the nail bed, it might be a couple of weeks before you want to think about squats....maybe leg press work since you can shift the pressure more against the arch of your foot.

I wouldn't plan on anything that focuses pressure on the balls of your feet....say calf raises, for instance.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

    almostgone is spot on here.

I spent years humping under a load / pack and have had several ingrown toenails removed, as well as a total ablation (chemically cauterized).

You'll be a week tender-footing around and bumping that sonofabitch on every table leg in your path...

So, hunker down, bite the bullet and crack on...

He just cut out 1/4 of the mail. The bike is a good idea. I may give it a go at the gym tomorrow.

After a few days to a week, your toe will "toughen up" and you'll be fine. Besides, once you get your adrenaline pumping at the gym, the pain from the toe will die down.
