    Favorite online supplement site???

I have used bodybuilding.com for years but I feel like they are going down hill. There prices don’t seem competitive anymore and their service/shipping sucks.

I don’t take many supplements, just animal fury preworkout and whey protein. I am currently using the bodybuilding.com whey protein because the price was right and it tasted good, but both of those things are no longer true. Going to switch back to optimum or bsn.

I do have a gnc near by but they don’t carry animal nutrition products and it seems like the store is never open lol.

I usually use True Nutrition, but if I want another brand, I start with Amazon, then Sam's, Costco, etc.

I despise GNC or whoever holds the franchise in my area.

In my opinion GNC has never adjusted their prices competitively and still acts like they are the only show in town even though that’s not been the case for 20 plus years, nothing for nothing I get gold standard whey protein from Walmart whatever preworkout that is on sale and a good ole centrum multi vitamin and my physique looks just fine

I generally find a product I like, and then find who has the best cost / shipping deal. Sometimes it is amazon, sometimes walmart, sometimes ebay, sometimes the producer themselves. I try not to just be like let me go order from amazon, because if we always do that, one day there will be no other option, but it is difficult. They have that etail think down!

I have a long standing hatred for GNC. Usually some snobbish a-hole is running the store when I decide to step in and it's so apparent they don't know their ass from third base.

It's like they go smug because my shirt doesn't have collar or something?

I know how much of GNC's model has changed since I worked there, but when I was there many years ago they were about getting customers on P3 products (which is like certain products under their label. IE vitamins and protein). Then from there they want you to expand their basket to other GNC labeled product that are not P3. And finally the 3rd party products most of customers actually came for.

The sales people for the most part get their "education" on products by watching stupid training videos on the cash-register computer when nobody is there. The sales people are constantly berated by the GM and the regional management for not creating large enough baskets for the customers and not selling enough vitamins.

The GM at my store even told me to sell testosterone boosters by approaching men and asking them if they're having problems getting their penises erect.

That sounds like the exact training program for the GNC people I've dealt with.

Another American business model based on prioritizing profits over customer value and employee's job satisfaction.

The kicker is the salespeople get paid commission for selling the third party products. But if you sell too many of them, management will threaten to fire you for not selling enough of the GNC branded stuff that you don't get a commission on.

    The discount sucked too.

Here's a fun fact: You can buy Gold Standard Whey from Walmart with EBT. Anything that says "nutritional information" or "nutritional facts" can be bought with food stamps.

I use the same strategy. There is a big competition among pharmaceutical companies, so it is worth checking several sources before making the choice. Also, I find reading other people's reviews to be helpful. Usually, I check the Pissed Consumer website as this is a big platform created specially for this purpose.

I’m just now going with my wife on her Costco runs. Last week we just meandered up & down all aisles in addition to buying specifics. I was amazed.

There’s very little we don’t buy from Amazon, their ease & convenience is addictive.

I can recommend paying attention to the balkan-pharm website. They offer a fantastic range of high quality products. In particular, BCAA 2:1:1 BP is great for muscle recovery and overall performance. Their website is user-friendly and there are often great deals on here.

Gave up on GNC years ago. Vitamin store was good for a while until some punk kid told me I couldnt shop there unless I put a stupid mask on.

I've also always been very picky about the taste of protein powder. Finally found a brand and flavor I really like (dymatize100 orange dreamsicle), so I get that from amazon now. Vitamin store carried it too and were priced the same as amazon.

I don't know how you guys could drink those "fruity" flavors. They all taste rotten to me. The only protein flavors I'd ever eat was peanut butter or chocolate (or some combination of them).

Lol. I can't stand artificial tasting chocolate or vanilla and most every brand chocolate and vanilla taste like that. Orange dreamsicle taste like the orange push up pops we ate as kids in the 70s.

But I have found when I mix some pb2 powder in with chocolate protein powders I have they're more tolerable.

The vanilla flavors are pretty vile too. I don't like the chocolate flavors usually either, but they're usually drinkable. The biggest problem with protein powders is if you the cheap ones, the chocolate flavored ones have that burned taste to them.

I recall the protein powder from the early - mid 70’s. They tasted like chalk & were always clumpy. This current stuff, just with water? . . . .
