    Urine drug test for AAS?

Anybody have experience with drug tests and how to “beat” them? From my understanding it’s a very basic test. I’m only on TRT, legitimately prescribed by my doctor, but want to be safe rather than sorry if I get drug tested in my sport. I have an idea of when I’d be drug tested too.

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

If you're on legit prescribed trt, and you take the prescribed dose which would keep your test levels in a normal, accepted range for your age, why would you be concerned about a drug test?

Now if your test levels are crazy high, sure.

Unfortunately, depending on the sport, being within normal ranges is not enough. They likely use chromatography and can detect exogenous testosterone without the need to observe levels within a range.

Yeah and I’m almost certain it’s not allowed in the sport. It is prescribed from a doctor, I do regular blood work and can prove my levels are always within range. However, are there any ways to mask the exogenous test, especially it being a urine test? What’s the quickest way to get it out of my system?

The best bet is to be 100% up front with your sport's sanctioning body or if it's just an independent event, with the people running the event. If you show that you have a doctor's prescription and it's to treat an actual condition/illness, your sport may be able to issue you an exception. If you try to go out of your way to conceal your TRT usage, you'll less likely to get an exception if you're caught.

But as far as your question to evade a drug test goes. It depends a lot on the types of drug tests your sport does. With oral steroids like 5-6 weeks should be enough (the actual times depend on your body and the specific steroids). Things like Deca can be tested for over a year I believe and the other synthetic steroids are relatively easy for them to test (if within their normal detection times)

Now if all you're taking is testosterone, they may test for how much is in your system. They can also test for abnormalities in your SHBG, your FSH and LH levels. Another thing they may test for is the ratio between your testosterone and epitestosterone levels. And they can test the carbon isotope ratio in the testosterone you have in your system.

You can google "detection times"for just about ever steroid and ever ester to see how long it'll take to clear your system. But really, the best bet is to be upfront and honest.

    This is it said succinctly.

And this is it in more detail.

To add, I read the NFL's PED policy on a recent long flight. They do all the things these gents talk about. Oh and can test (or say they can) for EVERY damn thing. It is ludicrous, TBH, because you know these guys are using everything under the sun (I would be for damn sure).

In a somewhat hypocritical move though, the penalty for the detection of masking agents is less than the penalty for detection of the PED. So they seem to be saying "don't get caught, but also, you know, these masking agents nudge nudge wink wink"

I don't know for sure with other sports (although this is probably also how they do it), but with the Olympics, you're allowed to miss 2 "random" tests within a 12 month filing. So if an athlete takes 1 drug test, he is good for 12 months and can build a cycle around that. And after that 12 months he just has to be clean until he's tested again (and by the way, it's not as "random" as they say it is).
