Do you think aspiration is necessary?

I've done hundreds of shots (glutes and quads only) during my life, but never aspirated a single one of them. I could pretty much feel when I hit a vein, it hurt instantly, so I would just pull back a bit and go ahead and inject. A bit of blood would come out after withdrawal, but then it was all good. Never had a cough or anything. So have I been extremely lucky?
Also what's the big deal if you DO hit one? It's not like your directly injecting into the vein, morelike you're piercing one all the way through and if you did inject, some would go into the vein MAYBE, the rest would be dispersed into the muscle around it.
Am I oversimplifying, or missing some other pertinent info? Thx bros!

Some thing to consider if you inject direct into a vein, depending on the voulume of oil injected you put your self at risk for a embolis, rember even a small amount can kill you.A embolis is basicaly a free folating substance in the blood streem that floats untill in becomes traped in a samll vessel. Critical areas that may become occulded are the brain heart kidneys lungs and liver. it so easy to aspriate it only takes a second and could save your life. Some thing to think about.cj

It takes half a second to do. Are you in that much of a hurry to get the gear in your system ? Yes...aspirate.

It seems to me that it is DEFINITELY worth the 2 extra seconds to pull back on the plunger. Think about it, why take a chance of possibly putting something into your bloodstream.

My deal is that I use really small pins, 25s and 27s, so an inject takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes depending on volume (trying to minimize scar tissue). So if I did hit a vein, I'd be injecting really slow, so no embolism could form in theory, right?
    And yes, excellent avatar!

    Ref. my previous post:
The Aspiration would take some time to accomplish also, as the potentially aspirated fluids would be difficult to draw up...

will the blood be thin enough to make it into the pin in "just a second or two"? Or would I need to aspirate longer...

Just Aspirate bro, no need to be lazy. It takes literally two seconds and is the difference between life and possibly death. *possibly*

Of course I aspirate.. I'm not even sure why someone wouldn't? This to me makes no sense. It's like getting into a car and taking 2 seconds to put on your seatbelt.

is part of the injection, like opening the syringe box or putting it into the bin!
it doesnt cost money or time.... actually i think this post is.... sh...!
