depending on size and the artist but expect to pay 50-250...
shoot, the file is to big to put in the thread
got it...
Any decent shop will charge you 100+ an hour, plain and simple. How big is the tattoo?
nothin to big or to fancy, im hoping i wont get charged more than 200 but bdtr you might have heard of pino bros in cambridge some new guys who are VERY good but qite expensive
Don't go cheap when getting a tattoo............ you will have it for the rest of your life. Like Elliot said the price depends on the size, artist, and where it's placed on your body.
Pino bro's are good artists for sure.
yeah they are supposedly award winning tatoo artists. but usually that just means they charge more than other usually, money isn't really a problem because my uncle is paying for it but i dont want to run him more than 200 because i would just feel bad. But i dont mind paying a bit more for quality
The one you posted will cost close to $300.......... I have one on each delt about the size of the one posted and they were around 300 each.
sorry for post whoring, but you can see in the picture its not THAT big i just want a rough estimate, under 200 or over 200?
holy jesus thats alot. i didn't know they were THAT expensive, but its all good im gonna see if i can pay for half or something. luckily i have a cool uncle who is paying for it and getting one done with me
paid $350 for this one..........

Bro like I said well over $200 bucks at least in the area I live in it would be. I also go to a guy that is in every tattoo magazine and has won all kinds of awards.
Yep............. you also pay more for tatts with color............ all mine are black and grey.Originally Posted by spywizard

Guys that work out of thier houses are usually cheap or if you go to prison you might be able to get it for free for some favorsOriginally Posted by LilVito469
Seriously I wouldn't worry about the price but the ability of the artist you will have it forever.
for a tattoo that covers your whole delt w/ a decent amount of detail like the one you posted, you better expect to pay over $200.
Like BDTR said most places charge $100+ per hour.
Good luck, because once you get one, they'll be more to come!
I get atleast 1 every 2 years. talk about addicting!
$300 +/- $50

Just my .02 Check around and find out when the next major tattoo convention is coming around. Save your money up and in the mean time think about what you want and where you your tattoo. Going to an internation convention of tattoo artists is going to give you the option of choosing one from the best tattoo artists around the world and getting some of the best work done to your body. I swear you will not regret it!!!
You'll pay about the same price as some local artists and sometimes you'll pay more for the best guys in the world to do you ink but it is well worth it IMO!! When I left MI, the best guy for portraits, black/grey, and animals lived in Berkley ( Tom Renshaw) he frequents alot of the conventions and most of the time you can see his work in mags. If your in Boston i would take a drive to NY and visit a guy named Paul Booth who is also one of the best in the nation.

The tattoo convention already hit boston and won't be back until late this year.
F U CK !!!! see thats just my luck too!!!!!!! and hell no i am not going to new york JUST to get a tattoo, but luckily i will be going up there if all goes according to plan for a week. do you know how to contact him or does he have a site?Originally Posted by THA GONZ
You WONT get an appointment with paul booth, plain and simple. Books years in advance it seems. he also charges about 8x what normal tattoo artists charge.
see ya lata!!i aint payin that much for a tatoo. is there any way i can get information on when conventions come back in town and where they will be next? i think i will just be patient and take abstrack's advice.
Yup, good luck if your gonna try that.Originally Posted by bdtr
Try this guy @ Blue Heron Tattoo, http://www.blueherontattoo.com/
I meet him at this years tattoo convention in Boston He's done alot of my bro's work. Reall talented Guy!! You can email him the pic and he can probably give you an estimate.
I'm heading up there this month to get some more ink. He is also sick with free hand work, tell him what you want he'll draw it up and make any changes you want.
Convention should be back sometime in September.
can you tell me how u know? lol is there a website i can go to and get a list of where it is coming to next or is it all by word of mouth?
It comes every year around the same time, WBCN usually sponsers it. I don't think there is a website for it, if there is I never saw it. I just know some people in the biz and hear from them.
well I guess than that leaves you with some timeto think.
