They've done test that show that it might actually help since it relaxes you and helps you recouperate better. The new Muscle and fitness has an article on it.
I got a new gf when I was on my last bulking cycle and we were doing it over 5 times a day for like 3 weeks straight (not lying neither... I thought my guy would fall off at one point from overuse). Anyway... I just upped my calory intake due to the extra cardio and actually put on 10lbs during those 3 weeks and my strengh just kept on climbing
getting off tends to make me a happier guy

So then I can concentrate better at the gym and hit the weights real hard.
