    Rice Question

Does anyone know if there is a differance between whole grain minute rice and regular whole grain rice. Ive been using the regular but it takes a 1/2 hour to cook and as you all know with all the time we all have to spend in the kitchen, were all looking for convenience here.

I consider it a negligible difference.

While we have the rice thing going...do you guys prefer brown rice or white rice for cutting or it makes no difference??

I usually eat white rice because i have it already...i dont mean to steal the thread.

I think you want to stick with the whole grains Ammar. They have a lower Glycemic index rating. Check out this site.

well it's the same question i've heard about regular potato or yams for ppwo....apparently you do want an insulin response during that meal as well because you body is primed for carb uptake for 6 hours PWO. basically saying that you can go with a higher GI carb for your second PWO meal. me i use a regular potato because it's easier to carry around and pop in the mouth where ever im at...so far i've been doing well with it and my results (posted in my sig) are going quite well.

So when do you guys stop eating carbs for the day? I try and take in good carbs with every meal except for the last protein drink of the day. So my last carb intake is at around 9:00PM. Do you guys think that is fine to eat carbs that late before beddy bye time? I was just wondering what your alls opinions were on this.

He's not asking whether white rice or whole grain rice is better...he's asking whether whole grain minute rice is different from whole grain slow-cooking rice. My guess is that it doesn't make a difference. Check the fiber content. If they both have the same amount of fiber per serving, the GI should be about the same as well.
