    I have to go with the Silver back over the Bear.
    A silver back has probably as much strength or more as the kodiak and if need be could hide and wait in a tree for the kodiak then jump on him from above in a suprise move. Silver backs can run just as fast as the bear and can climb from tree to tree so the advantage has to go to the SB.

    I've read in national geographic that a photographer once watched a kodiak bear decapitate a moose with a single swipe. My money's on the bear.

    I have to agree with the 1 swipe and the moose looses his head but were talking about a smart very big animal in a SB.
    They are intelligent creatures, 30X's stronger than a human, sport a hefty set of canine teeth and also has the capacity to think out situations before they happen which I believe would be very benificial to the SB over the Bear.
    The bear has 1 main advantage over the SB and that the size of its claws, other than that I doubt that you would find a SB scared of anything.
