Yeah I saw the vid of Tank 'belly bounce' 600+. A ton of weight but I dunno if I would go as far as to call that a bench press.

I've seen it, if i had his gut i could bounce 600 off. I'd rather do a clean 500 though.
None the less, he's a beast.

yeah ..no way clean..he gets alittle momentum goin from the git go..with that bounce move..then bounce again off the gut..lettin the flex of the bar and the weight drive it...but yo..thats a lot of weight to push..no doubt...like i said ..I really didnt think he had it in him

hey after reading this post, I downloaded the vid, most the clips on the net plays it at a fast speed , which looks like he's bouncin it hard off his chest, but the one I downloaded at regular play speed he get's a slow lift off and presses with form " very little bounce" he's a power house, he didnt even have wraps or a belt on,
peace out my brutha's

I dont know the exact numbers , i could be way off but the comparison is correct, when my current kickboxing instructor and his temmates were reigning in their state with their punching KO power, and when they did a PSI test then their strongest reading was 800psi, and they were devestating and the strongest heavyweight Pro Kikcboxers in their divisions and they were talking trash about how they compared to mike tysons punches...a few months later Mike Tysons measured punch power was given in a magazine or on the preview before his fight and his puches were about 2100psi!!!!!
This was many years ago and like i said i dont remember the numbers exactly but i remember that Tysons punche were almost 3times more powerful fo sure!
-
07-30-2004, 03:17 PM #35
so if the numbers are accurate he measures at over one ton of pressure per square inch....ouch

2100 PSI was Tyson's measurement during the Tony Tucker days, he hit at about 3000 PSI when he knocked Holmes down, in his bout with Lennox the hardest punch he threw in the whole fight was 300 PSI, in the fight after that the knockout punch was 2500 PSI.. I think he was bribed.

I never really liked Tank...
-
07-31-2004, 02:51 AM #38
Well Tank isn't really a likeable guy...and he isnt a pure mixed fighter..hes a street fighter..which is why I think so many regular guys dig him...still doesnt take away from the fact thats a lot of weight to be pushin..no belt..no wraps..no benchshirt..nuthin..like em or hate em..gotta respect that push..least I do
