Roy Jones says he can't wait to get Tarver back in the ring!!!
On a recent television show, Roy Jones said he just cant wait to get Antonio Tarver back in the ring. He want to show that in boxing, a lucky punch can happen to even the best. He also stated that to him the fight was extremely boring to him and even though he was in perfect shape for fight 2, it was extremely hard for him to get punped up and excited to fight Tarver. He loves to fight the heavy weights, he loves to beat the odds as he as the last 10 years and puts on a better show when he dpoing what the public thinks is the impossible,. " These guys can easily get up to fight Roy Jones, Roy Jones has a hard time getting up to fight guys ( unless they are in the heavyweight ).
When the two get back in the ring and face each other, I think Roy is gonna put a punishing night on him.

Tarver just has his number and will beat his ass again...
Some fighters just match up well against others and
Tarver more then matches up with Jones...

Tarver is the younger more solid of the two. His hook is devastating as Jones found out.

As confident as Jones is it's gonna be in the back of his mind
that this is the only dude that has beat him and honestly if
you count the first fight he really beat him twice no matter
what the judges said... PLus Tarver knows he beat him both
times and will come to bring the pain again to let Roy know
once and for all... Jones is a great fighter, but against Tarver
he's just doesn't have it...

well,..im gonna give Roy the benefit the first fight,..I mean if you guys lost 25lbs in two months,. you would be much weaker too. They asked him before the first fight,..whats your energy level,...he stated on a scale from one to ten,..a 1. He did get a hell of a challenge from tarver in that fight but tarver hit mostly gloves....the 2nd fight was strictly luck,..Tarver closed his eyes and threw the punch,.hoping it would land.

i like tarver in the next fight because roy jones will have that defeatist attitude in the back of his head and will be slightly intimidated because he has allready lost to tarver. when you have nothing to lose like tarver does, it makes things a lot easier. jones is so concerned with his record, image etc. that it actually made him worried about what people would think if he lost the fight. and when you let thoughts of losing a fight enter your mind, you are allready setting yourself up for defeat imo.

The bottom line is roy jones got his block knocked off
so he is no longer the greatest.

Look at what happened with Shane Mosley. He finally lost a match to Forrest. Then, Casamayor knocked Forrest the **** out. Like someone said earlier, some fighters just match up with other fighter's weaknesses.

I predict Roy winning by decision or late knock after round 8,..we shall see.

well the first fight went the distance,.the 2nd fight barely went two rounds do to a lucky punch,..so the third should be about redemption on Roys part as it was for tarver in fight 1. should be good.

Roy is a phenom no doubt, but with that keeping his hands down, running around the ring ****, it was just a matter of time before sombody connected, then we saw what roys chin is like.

I agree he did it well, thus the Penom title... I wonder how much of it was a mental game he played with apponents... Got in there heads beat there confedence/spirit.
Everyone knows boxing with your hands down is like trying to block punches with your face! Sometimeswhen a fighters confedence is so high, he makes his apponents even feel like they cant touch him and they beat thereselfs. Look at how prince Haseem dominated with that approach until Barerra took him apart!

are they definately going to fight again? i would love to see jones at training camp
-

Jones will win, all he has to do is train harder
he's already got the speed, he just needs to bulk up a bit on the power, his defense doesn't have to be that good as long as he has a continous strong offense and good cardio
-

he is a great boxer

for sure, Jones is alot like Gatti, they both use offense as a defense and rely on speed, agility and grace than power

Roy jones only looked spectacular against bums...his division is n was a weak division..taverver is ok...i would like to have seen him against HoPKINS! have em meet at an equal weight......that would've been a show.

I think Jones is going to take this fight... I do believe tarver got that one lucky punch and that is why he won the 2nd time... We'll see...
