Silva should have gotten the nod IMHO as he was outweighed 64lbs (29kg) and had all the takedowns and was the aggressor throughout, Silva ate some ****ing bombs though and showed his chin is far from being weak as some that know nothing have stated.

my comments on the silva-hunt fight:
1-Its a bad matchup in terms of weight, silva shouldnt have acccepted the fight even if he thought hunt was new and inexperienced in MMA
2-Hunt didnt really land that many direct hits, they were more like 'push-swings' that pushed silva down.
3-Silva's KO power is overwhelming for LHW division and even for HW division provided he was fighting a purely MMA fighter! Hunt has taken his fair share of hits in years of K1 from the strongest strikers so you could land hits on him but a KO wont be easy!
4-I dont think hunt did enough to win the fight, but he has surely caught on to MMA more in the two fights before this one than for example Cro-Cop has in over 10 fights!!
Silva is still the man, but he should have waited for sakuraba to recover or taken a fight with Arona or some other LHW instead of taking this one on such short notice.
Hunts flying fat-body-slam was pretty akward but it actually squashed silva and passed the gaurd!

Yes that is true i quit dont understand why Hunt was matched up with Silva, i mean he outweight him by what 30 pounds at least, another proof that Wandy will fight anyone and good news that we might get a cro cop vs wandy 2 match.
the rest of the card looks awsome and i cant wait for the dvd to come onsale at sherdog.
MMA is going in the right direction and evolving fast, i cant wait to see what fighters will look like in 10 years and cant wait to start learning MMA myself, there is a great muay thay and MMA school near my house with a ring and punching bags and all.

This was not the whole fight, Wand took some bombs you could hear them land,
Official weight was:
Silva 214lbs (originally weighed in at 204lbs for Saku)
Hunt 278lbs

Hunt and Silva was a great fight IMO, exciting the whole time. I am of the understanding it was Hunt who took the fight on 3 days notice, regradless, he clearly dominated Silva. Silva didn't even threaten Hunt on the ground, which was suprising, except for the fact that Silva was too tired and banged up from slugging it out with someone with a 40 lb weight advantage who landed many good clean shots. I especially liked the charging butt sit attemted by Hunt, you just dont see many fighters willing to risk it like that. Two thubs up for this match. All the other fights on this card were pretty lame IMO.

agreed top fight, hunt knocked silver down cleanly at least twice, push shots?? do you actually have the video?? funny how everyone pops up with excuses when someone like that loses, its like the classic evo subaru debate, where someone always comes up with an excuse like, maybe he wasnt trying, maybe he was running more boost lol makes me laugh
I have the jackson silva fight both of them dont know how to get it to you though
peace

It made Cotour better when he lost to Rodrigues.
MMA I am not sure what you meant by you statement can you elaborate on it?
