When I was studying Isshin Ryu in PA there were a lot of other schools whose "Masters" bought their belts. What they do is take a class for a couple of months or watch a few videos, buy a black belt and open a school.

Boom! Instant business. Sad thing is their students think they are learning something and it's all crap.

Unfortunetly I've a friend done pretty much the same thing. Met a guy in florida who sold him on Hepkido, he brought it back to Ireland and within month was 'Master'!. He was a TKD black belt who couldn't bless himself, pathetic really.

if you get your blackbelt , your hands are lethal weapons if I am correct, some dumbass is setting himself up for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and he doesn't even have down the proper technique for a bitch slap!

I dont see the need to grade, i mean the color of your belth dosnt show your skill. Ive sen a black belt judoka get his butt kicked by a green belt. This green belt had over 20 years experiance and strangeld the black belt with his own gii.

If the **** back can get better i wanna get back into MMA , there is no belts and i dont really care about them anyways, just good old t shirt and tai boxe shorts and training.

For the record i got a blue belt in Kyo Kushin and red belt in Tae Kwon Do and they are worth nothing a good MMA guy LOL
