dude, the Bruce Lee vs...whoever argument is dead, literally.
He is a legend, leave it at that. RESPECT.
Also, thanks for that awesome interview...
Amen to that, just makes no damn sense to compare bruce Lee to any other fighter on the planet.
It might even be a good fight but heres the deal...
Gomi thrives on exploiting a fighters weakness. He'll step out the way while people are coming out swinging then wait for the opponent to gas.
Bruce Lee on the other hand is the one that comes out swinging, and unlike most of Gomi's opponents HE WONT MISS.
Lee by Knock Out 0:27 R1
Bruce Lee was one of the first to really believe in cross training. He also saw the weakness's the lack of ground game in many traditional martial arts. He saw that Kata's in live scenerio's are not the best option and argued for as much sparring as possible. This being said Lee was never fully able to complete his study on cross training. I think its kinda hard to compare him to Gomi now he said he enjoyed walked around at 140 now Gomi competes at 160 in pride and cuts from around 175-180. So really its to hard to compare Lee to Gomi. Also at this time cross training was still not really practiced now if he(lee) were to grow up in this time of cross training it would be intersting. So really all we can say is Gomi is on his way to legendery status and Lee has is. I think we should just value that we now as Martial artists have the privilage to learn from both these men
