You guys should consider yourselves lucky
Everyone here can go out and train like they want, i have a damn back injury and dont even know if its gonna be resolve one day.
I am working hard on my posture right now and getting better.
Each time i see people train in any art it really beaks me up inside.
Guess that heavy weight training deadlifts and squat killed me.
Fukk back pain

dude i had a back injury from wrestling and it didnt ease until after gone 7 months, and that was with the help of an ostiopath. i think sloppy form on deadlifts for about 6 months may have set me up for it mind you. its cool today, get the occaisional pain but no more than most ppl. and have really concentrated on correct deads, and am shifting alot of weight

Sad that most idiots dont know what back pain is, cause if they where dont would shut there pertty little yonkers up.
You dont know what back pain is til you suffered from back pain.
Thanks to everyone else that have been supportive.

I cant work my chest, front deltoid and quads cause they are too strong compared to my upper back, hamstrings and of course my abs that i neglected so much.
My first condition is called FTP forward tipped pelvic, which means that the quads are pulling in front and since the lower abs and hams are weak the pelvic and the lower back support all the weight.
Second condition is that my chest, front delts are pulling in front and that puts pressure on my upper back and neck region.
I got to strech the pelvic region, quads and chest front delts each day and strenghten the back, hams and abs.
Now i have seen some good improvement but i cant wait to get back into martial arts, if everything goes well September next year should be fine.
Thanks for the help, back pain sucks

BIgguns101 me and my girlfriend bought on expensive mattress, 2000$, first one we bought we add to return it cause it was too damn hard, second one was a posture pedic, take the form of your whole body.
That help a lot. I try to go to massage therapy too at least once a month, i plan to start training with weights again soon, light of course back, rear delts and hams , and if everything goes well will incorporate chest, delts and quads.

working out your chest should not effect your sore back.
Hi Juicy Sauce, that was i tought at first too, but the problem with posture is also called a muscles imbalance, i have seen many specialist about this and its the opposite muscle being stronger then. Sounds weird but thats what it is.
Since my chest and front shoulders are stronger then my upper back then pull the muscles toward causing pain to the back, the back is too weak to support the bad posture.
Problem is that i wasted a lot of time going to see specialist that where complete morons, and cared more about $$$ then curing my back pain.
When the x rays are clean and the mri, pertty much whats left is bad posture, or years of bad posture kicking in.
Of course bad form like i did squatting and deadlifting did help at all either.
I am glad to say that since starting the posture program my neck and head in relaxed posture would be about an inch or more infront of my chest. Now after 2 good months of working hard the head and neck are taking there normal place and my posture is a lot better.
I just cant wait to train again like i used too,

Tylenol 3 / Vitiamin I (Ibuprofen).
Nobody is ever 100% healthy, and your back problem isn't a major concern, 1 year of training will correct your muscle balance. People with spinal problems such as slipped discs/dislocations should be weary about their level of training.
there's no reason you shouldn't be training

You might want to see a physio and sports massager...you probably got damaged tissue...because if you slipped or done serious damage you would find it hard to walk never mind anything alse.
Good luck anyway

hey Sonar, have you ever tried decompression? I've had trouble with L4,L5 and C5 over the years and used both traction and gravity with some great results. Inversion boots or a gravity set up that looks kinda like a big hyperextension have really helped me out. Chiros I've talked to say it allows the discs to retract back between the vertabrae and fill back with fluid thereby increasing space between degenerative bone and keeps pressure off your nerves. I don't know if what your deal is but if it's a bulge or herniation that may help. Good luck.
