It's nothing special, he was a FAT 300lbs. He claims he doesn't touch weights, just does cardio and his strength comes from rolling with his partners.

Thats not juice. Diet and training, thats all. Even following a shit diet, and I know there's alot of fat fighters out there, anyway evening following a shit diet most fighters would be pretty toned.

I have riggs in a fight at around 220, maybe 230. Never seen him at the full 300. Would be iteresting to get ahold of some of the earlier RITC events.

BY the way, I hop mir wins tonight!

Yeah well Mir had forever to get into shape. Fighters like Eilers and Silvia came back within 6 months of career ending injuries. Mir has been bullshitting for 2 years now putting off his fight with Andrei Arlovski knowing whats gonna happen when he fights him.

I remember this cat posting this on Sherdog...

I hope now that he hears from 100% of the knowledgable bros on this board that Mir's physique is easily obtainable without gear, especially due to the build he had before. The time frame between those pics are 1.5-2 years as he was out due to injury. Simple diet and weight training thats all.

I been sayin it forever that he's just a paper champion and he's extremely overrated and that he'll be out of the UFC soon enough.

Good call, I was uterly shocked though, after the cut he should have quit, would have saved me the agony of watching him get lumped up some more.

he may be a "paper champion" as you say but he won that championship in a championship sanctioned bout by snapping that f**kers ulna with a textbook armbar.i hear what your saying about the other fighters returning from thier injuries but a broken arm does not compare to a shattered femur and tibia.have you ever broken your femur or tibia/fibula?muscles atrophy and lateral quickness and weightbearing balance take a very long time to regain if not in some cases lost forever.give the man his props.he won that championship belt from Sylvia fair and without controversey.anyone who says being a "paper champion" by breaking another mans arm is beyond me.

The man has almost no heart to be in there most of the time. He's a paper champion by barely scraping by Wes fvckin Simms in BOTH fights. Is Mir the man for breaking Sylvias arm?? No....he is not. Sylvia is THE MAN for not tapping even when his arm was broken. Mir won the belt fair and square like you said. But it's Tim's stupid decision to go to the ground that cost him the fight and the belt. In fact in the two times Sylvia has gone to the ground he's never lasted more than 15 seconds cuz I wouldnt be suprised if he ever trains for it. Mir can't take shots....this is pretty well known....he's got NO CARDIO....this was all way before his accident. Ian Freeman beat him pillar to post and when the ref asked him if he wanted to fight mir wanted out of that ring so bad his actions spoke much louder than his words. Same thing against Cruz, the ref asked him if he wanted to continue with the cut and you could obviously see he didnt and Mir didnt answer at first but he did so I give him credit, but if your hearts not in the fight you're not gonna win. He's not gonna cut it in the UFC and their heavyweight division is almost non existant!! Imagine if the guy fought in Pride against people like Cro-cop, Kharitonov or Fedor or many other heavyweights?

The only man who can legitmatly get away with not having acceptable cardio in MMA is "Bob Sapp"

only because he's 360 lbs, ****... i dont think there any debate about his steroid use

    .. and he'd kick Mir's ass

Frank Mir had some pretty sickass injuries thats pretty undeniable. But the guy comes back 17 pounds heavier than his last fight and with a shitload more muscle. He had a ton of time to train apparently to get himself in that kinda shape.

I agree that militich is great on the ground but looking at sylvias two fights where he spent less than 30 seconds on the ground TOTAL and was submitted both times I dont think he trains as hard for it as most would think. He's never been on his back and he has almost no fights of his that ended up on the ground. I think that he works mostly on his striking as you can see the new type of sylvia boxing compared to the old as clear as night and day.
