I remember a few UFC's ago Wanderlei stepped in the ring with Chuck and they both said they wpuld be down for a unification fight for light heavies between Pride and UFC. Would be a nice fight.

It won't happen...Chuck had his chance at Wanderlei and got owned by Rampage. The UFC is where Chuck can reign supreme for now...Pride would not be such a good move for him.
Another thing that you gott to understand is, that if Pride were to send one of their guys over the UFC has to pay their purse as Pride paid for Chucks and Vitors when they fought there representing the UFC.
Some speculate this is a reason why this has'nt happened as Wand is reported to make $400k+ a fight...thats twice as much as the highest paid fighter in the UFC (minus sponorships of course).

First of all, lets stop saying this nfl, major minor bull shit... If Silva is the baddass that he seems to be, he wont giva fck where or who he fights... all he should care about is who and what he can conquer next. If he has to go to the UFC next b/c he already owns Pride... so be it!!

Wand has shown time and time again that he gives two shits who they put on the ring with him, he will fight regardless. Just who in the flying **** would agree to fight Hunt who is a K-1 Grand Champion and has 64lbs on you while you are undefeated at the time and were training to fight a guy you crushed 3x before (Saku)? Sometime i think the man is insane. Not to mention him agreeing to fight CroCop under those hybrid Pride/K-1 rules.
Its more a matter of politics and logistics really, many things would have to come together for Wand to fight Chuck. The fighters are actually caught in the middle of it all. UFC has turned down Pride's offer to send Ninja and Kharitonov...who knows why? Money, maybe? Politics, definately.

i heard there'z a Crocop Vs Liddell matchup in the works - now that'd be awesome
But honestly, moving from PRIDE to UFC is the equivalent to moving from the NFL to CFL. It definetly wouldn't be worth your contract just to fight some dude if your with PRIDE.

Yeah but most light heavyweight fighters come into the fight weighing 215-220 but that doesnt mean they're used to fighting heavies who fight at that natural weight or even higher weights and are a lot stronger than they are.....and no way the UFC will ever pay Cro-cops salary....he's the highest paid foreign pride fighter there is right now. I think he makes around 800,000$ a fight.

I dont see any advantages of fighting in the UFC at all.
in the UFC once you lose, the crowd considers you a loser, and the fighter who beat you is better in every aspect... because he beat you :\
in PRIDE, they love you eithier way, all they ask is that you fight with all your heart, they respect the fighting athletes spirit - not like this UFC gangster bullshit

I think Chuck Lidell can hold his own in Pride and to be honest I disagree saying the UFC is minor leagues. UFC has some GREAT fighters but a few weak divisions. The UFC's welterweight division is stacked with great fighters and great Pride fighters like Sakurai fought in the UFC against Matt Hughes and got their asses handed to them. There is no 170 pound division in Pride like in the UFC and I think that the UFC's 185 division champ rich franklin could beat dan henderson, Prides 185 champ. UFC just doesnt have the money to compete against Japan. The florida Marlins with their 80 million$ a year salary beat the 200$ million dollar yankees in the world series because they had the better team. Just because the UFC doesnt have the money to spend on Prides level doesnt mean their fighters suck.
