UFC 59: Reality Check!
have you seen the fight card for UFC 59? I'm looking forward for the Andrei Arlovski Vs. Tim Sylvia match. For sure Arlovski will win! he's one of the good fighters I've ever seen in UFC. what can you say about the fight of Ortiz and Griffiin? Griffin does fight well too but Tito is a contender.

Tito should take Griggin a lot easier than most people are assuming.

My guess is tito is gonna do the same has he did with Cote, play it safe.
Get Griffin on is back and groud and pound him.
Which makes place for a very boring fight (I HOPE NOT)

For sure Arlovski is gonna kick some ass... im not to sure about the other fight. I know ortiz is experianced, but Forest is crazy, and shows some promise in his skills... All I can say is well know after the fight!

i agree with you scream! Arlovski is a one tough fighter. Do you know that he was a police officer before maybe that's why he's very alert. between Forest and Ortiz, I think Ortiz can beat him.

according to the UFC website, fans have voted something overwhelming like 65% that the Ortiz-Griffen fight will be the fight of the night. 25% say arlovski-silva. interesting.

Tito beat his ass, all Forest had was some weak punches you saw the end of the fight Tito fresh as he got in. Forest looking like a sack of sh!t.

!st 10-8 tito
2nd 10-9 forrest
3rd 10-9 tito

forests put up a good fight though

that fight should have been forests fight. i give it to him, i dont' care about UFC and dana whites judges. forrest has heart. and he's right, he's not that technical. but he's a FIGHTER and he's a FIGHTER for the right reasons. tito's eyes are empty. he's just lacking something in spirit.
now sylvia vs arlovski? i don't even know what to say about that. i'm baffled. but i do have a whole new respect for sylvia, albiet a little begrudged.

Fighting is based on skill and it showed on Forrest's face. Forrest got lucky how far he got with tito. If Tito comes back for another after dealing with his acl then I will deff put money on tito. a yr and a half gone from UFC and still was able to do what he did.
It was not a draw nor did forrest win. Forrest is wild and his only chance is if he lands something which umm...... last i saw didnt really have much on tito.

i know i honestly believe his acl is pretty bad because he is always conditioned really well

tito was scared. you could look in his eyes and see it. and the huntington beach b!tch didn't exactly get away unscathed. a'la jardine vs bonnar you have to question the motives behind the decision.
and what's up with 'the executioner' and his mask, and allowing tito to rant and all the fancy intros? what the hell is this, WWF? JUST FIGHT FOR CHRISSAKES. SHUT THE HELL UP. tito is annoying me worse then when they had that chick trying to commentate. its like a train wreck.
instead of 'snap into a slim jim', its, 'i use Xyeince every day' .. .. ..
where the hell are my old bushido dvd's....i'm going to watch them instead of wasting my money on any more PPV UFC matches.

I have so much respect for Forest after watching that match. He took a pounding in the first round, and still came back, and won the next two rounds. That match made me gain so much respect for Forest.
And Sylvia is an idiot. He said in the interview, he faked a fall although he got knocked out by Andrei.
Sylvia got lucky, Andrei got overconfident after he landed a nice punch and was going for the knockout, and Sylvia got a lucky jab in.

I think something happened to Tito's injured knee after that first round cause all his shoots were stopped and he wasn't aggressive as in the 1st round. Forrest didn't or couldn't take advatage of that either therefore he sucks and Tito really won the fight even with an injured knee.

The executioner's mask was new. If you go back and find Justin's background fights i give him MAD props for going into the ring for the first time with evans. I know Justin personaly and for being able to get to the UFC with so many other fighters trying and stand with evans was awsome. Justin will get better and you will see alot more of him I assure you. I will post the links up of his previous fights. This was the first time for UFC...
Back to forrest yeah he had some skill but needs alot of work. If he cant beat tito after a yr or so without a fight in ufc then he might want to consider training harder. Tito's acl is bad.... really bad! think about it. slight torn acl and fighting after a yr and half and still taking on guys... come on...
and that scared look you claim to have seen haha... The only look i saw was a fighter who is controlled waiting for the opp to take down or lay the faq out.
the only fight i was pissed about was arlov. are you kidding me?!!!!!!! all i know is the rematch will be this summer and the maniac is going to have his ass handed to him. it was nothing more than shear luck.
-
04-16-2006, 02:51 PM #36
shear luck hmmmmmmmmmmm so tim really didnt mean to hit him with that punch? AA's head just unluckily got in the way of tims muscle spasm resulting in a KO? wow that is weird!
-
04-16-2006, 05:38 PM #37
I think AA was overconfident after he layed Tim out but then he rushed foward like a tool with a telegraphed right hand and got KTFO..it just goes to show the better fighter does not always win...ie Gomi..
