No question about it, he is not going to beat Fedor E. Like we've said a number of times, put him up against Hunt, CroCop, or Big Nog. before feeding him to the cyborg. If he can beat any of those then put him up against Fedor. Until then, he has no chance and doesn't even deserve one.

don't kick a man when he's down. he looked good as hell and then lost all his composure when he knocked sylvia down. still yeah i agree he can't beat fedor right now and also fighting so many cans has made him lazy. big ups to sylvia for taking a huge shot and keeping his composure and then pulling out a W. he was the better fighter.

i think if anyone beats fedor in his prime it will be due to ref. stoppage froma cut. not very likely, but how else is anyone gonna beat him?

yeah I missed it but heard Arlovski got upsetted Arlovski, In the co-main event of the mixed martial arts card, former champion Tim Sylvia (23-2-0) upset heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (11-4-0) by TKO at 2:43 of the first round.

Seconds earlier, Arlovski had floored Sylvia with a big right but the big man recovered and floored the champion with a short right hand. The referee stepped in when Arlovski was unable to defend himself.

known as the Pit Bull, had forced Sylvia to tap out after just 47 seconds in their first meeting when he clamped an ankle lock on the six-foot-eight behemoth in UFC 51: Super Saturday in February 2005.

Tim Sylvia is no bum. Also if AA would have a landed on his back instead of his stomach it might be a different story but it deffiantly is not good when he has been ko/tko 4 times.

Good for Sylvia he is no bum, I didnt pick him to win this fight but he's very under rated. He's a tough guy man and this is actually good for the UFC heavyweight division.

Was it ever really a question if AA could challenge Fedor?

The UFC is ridiculous, wow..Sylvia wins..big suprise..who does that leave him to fight? Oh, AA for the 130th time...wow what a division.

There is no one right now that could even come close to beat Fedor, even Colman could not control him on the ground.

Even tought Karitanov would be a great match up he lost at last pride against Valentine.

Coleman definitely isn't going to do shit to him, we know that. And for the record, Kharitonov didn't lose to Valentine, he lossed to his brother Alistair.

Sylvia was in need of a win, thats why, last time he lost in 47 seconds to AA, and got is arm broken by Mir last time they fought.

UFC should get more heavyweights in thats for sure, instead of putting out lame PPV or Royce Gracie vs Matt Hugues.

Next Pride is open weight tournament now thats original.

Being able to take a shot is always key, but we know he can take one. He took Fujita's and got rocked, but the intelligence Fedor has as a fighter is insane, he went right to the clinch. He's just amazing to watch everytime.

I agree the Fedor is the best heavyweight and perhaps fighter of all time but everyone is beatable. I also get sick of all this UFC bashing yes there heavyweight division is weak but they still have some of the best fighters in the world. I would also like to point out that Ricco should have gotten the belt from Nog he won that fight so its not like Pride fighters are unbeatable

You are so right on that one, Ricco should have won cause he controlled the fight on every aspect.

Nog never got the sub on him one time and its quit sad cause Ricco is a great fighter, last i eard is that he add lost all that extra fat around 40 pounds.

I really hope he gets back in shape and comes back to major event either it be UFC or PRide, he got knocked out by Silvia for the heavyweight belt so that would be a very good rematch and he would be a force in Pride has well.

Its like more the 40 pounds and he lost to a no name in his last fight. Ricco of old I dont think will ever be back. He wants money to get in shape he pretty much out and out said that. Pride overall has better fights then UFC but its not like just becouse a guy is in the ufc he cant beat someone from Pride. Baroni was 2-5 in the ufc I believe I know he was 0-4 before he left for pride and he is like 3-1 in pride. The UFC heavyweight division is weak and the lightheavy weight is not super deep either but both organizations have there great fighters. I would love to see less bashing of the UFC people point out the bad things but not that good things like GSP, Franklin, Hughes, Liddell Babalu(who beat shogun the same year Rampage beat Liddell), Ortiz, Sherk(force at lightweight) they had Trigg, Lindland. They have Penn and many more great fighters people should look at the great fighters instead of constantly bashing the ufc

Are Pride's pay-per-view events any better than UFC's?

I hate the recaps of the pride events - the film or recording device seems super cheap and the announcing is just crap. Camera angles aren't as good and the lack of a solid barrier (like UFC's fence) seems to make the ground game very different.

I like UFC's production values, but their matches seem to be getting old. Do they just need more warm bodies?

Better if the belt is changing hands than to be in the hands of only one person in a stagnant division. Now people actually look forward to see saw battles instead of C and D level fighters getting title very undeserved title shots.

He was lucky he made it to the clinch/ I'm sorry to say that any above average striker would've finished that fight. Fujita has to be one of the worst strikers in the sport. I think thats whats so shocking about it.

Yes he is the best fighter in the world by far. He's in a league of his own. I've been a sambo practitioner going on 16 years. And I bet you'd be suprised if I told you that when he started Sambo he was absolutely AWFUL at it. But like at MMA he became incredible at it. But if a man is that badly rocked, a jab can put him away. When your hurt that bad the slightest hit after that causes the brain to shut down as a security mechanism for your body. Fujita is a terrible striker....and I mean TERRIBLE. A fighter like Cro-cop with fast hands could've ended that fight. But like I said Fedor is incredible and by far my favorite fighter. But I'm pretty practical when knowing that the end could've been near for even the best.

USfighterFC...i have to disagree with you on one of the points. Yes, Fujita does suck as a striker even though he trained with the best Japanese boxer prior to the fight but u said a striker like CroCop would have finished him, which was not the case when Fedor was rocked by him in their fight.

Fedor was hardly rocked in their fight and I knew that would be an argument. Fedor took a punch straight on the nose and it broke. That is being stunned not rocked. You cannot knock someone out from breaking their nose. He came in and ate a straight left if memory serves me and was wobbled. He was more off balance than anything to be knocked back like that. Where as Fujita caught him straight on the temple. Thats a knockout punch. Takahashi is a good coach but your only as good as the guy your teaching. Getting rocked makes the world go round and your equilibrium is totally fvcked. Breaking your nose is breaking your nose.
