Bodog signs Fedor!!!!!

Bodog has signed Fedor to fight on March 3 in Russia. He will likely face Jeff Monson and his brother Aleks will likely face up and comer Antonio Silva. Thoughts?

Yeah, Fedor will pound Monson, fight should not last more then 2 minutes. Aleks/Antonio Silva is interesting. A lot of people think Antonio Silva is gonna be tough to defeat. He hasn't really fought anyone yet, and he fights Eric Pele tonight so that should tell us something. From what I've seen of Silva if he tries to stand with Aleks he'll get picked apart. Aleks needs to work on his takedown defense for this fight.

This is some big news no doubt..some worry Fedor is leaving Pride but Fedor has always had it in his contract that he can fight in Russia, so Bodog does a smart thing and makes a show there and signs him, rtumour has it though they want him long term and Bodog has some serious $$$$ behind them.

We will wait and see.

2007 will be an interesting year for MMA..i only hope Pride can get it together.

Yeah, I really doubt Fedor will leave Pride. Who would Bodog have for Fedor to fight? Fedor seems like the type of guy that would rather fight the best and get paid less. Plus I think Pride would do anything to keep Fedor around.

Supposedly Jeff Monson is scheduled for an ass kicking from Fedor at the Bodog event.

someone clarify this for me! does this mean fedor is not fighting at pride 33 in vegas? i thought he was supposed to fight crocop then. and i was considering going!

He will not be fighting at Pride 33, as the two events are 1 week apart. So Fedor/Crocop II will have to wait for spring/summer.
