    Dumb question about Judo

    Are there any takedowns in Judo?

    I did Judo when i was 7 years old but now i am 34 so with my old age i dont remember LOL.

    Of course there are takedowns. I would say 90% is throws and takedowns, i don't have enough Tylenol to take Judo full time.

    Don't expect to learn a good wrestling double leg or anything but you will get slammed often.

    I can only imagine what it would be like to get thrown by Yoshida or any Olympic Judo guy. Holy ****!

    Seriously, Judo can be deadly on the street, imagine getting thrown by Yoshida on concrete. When you are thrown, you are meant to land on your head and various other ****ed up positions for "Ippon"

    yah it's not like bjj or some of the other styles where they do take downs and sweeps... judo THROWS you into the ground
