Middleweight UFC challenger Travis Lutter (Pictures) failed to make weight in his final attempt Friday evening, managing to shed just one half pound in the two hours afforded to him by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
As a result Lutter, whose final weight was 186.5 pounds, is docked 10 percent of his purse, NSAC executive director Keith Kizer told Sherdog.com, and will face UFC champion Anderson Silva in a non-title affair Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay.

chance of a lifetime and he blows it by not making weight

Thanks for the details, Q'SToRM.
I feel pretty bad for anyone who bought tickets early to see two title fights. GSP injured, Guillard pulls, and now Lutter doesn't make weight.
Hopefully we'll get a couple highlight real ko's in the form of a high kick and slam...
Also, the PPV is in HD tonight. This is one of the main reasons I am still going to order tonight. For the past three or four PPVs I was telling my bros how this is a perfect sport for HD.

Chance of a lifetime and he ****s it up.
Silva is a little pissed about it i am sure, not only does he KO lutter tonight but it will not officially be considered a title defense now.***No source checks!!!***

Doesnt matter, Silva will knock his ass out in the first round.

Yahm might not matter.
Does not look too great to put on a PPV without a real main event. No title fights at all....gotta feel for people who bought tickerts.
