1996 Holyfield got a TKO over Tyson

1997 Tyson quit the fight by biting Holyfiields ear twice.

Mike lost to every good fighter he faced, the reason is Mike was one dimentional .

really you thought so?What was so one dememsional about him?or was?I know douglas loss was cause of conditioning and lack of training,The Holyfield loss was im still trying to fiqure out I know he was smoking and drinking around the time he fought him,The Lewis loss was mostly conditioning, and williams loss had to do with his blowing his knee and giving up,going down by choice and staying there by choice, and the mcbride fight was a way out of shape tyson quitting on his stool, but I thought he was one of the greats but he just let girls, mary jane, and nose candy get in the way of his career

Tyson was not a great fighter that's all. Mike never won a fight against a great fighter, and to be great you have to win those fights. Mike is all hype and a drama queen, not a great boxing champion.

How about Larry Holmes? I'd consider him great.

On second thought Larry Holmes was old and past his prime when he fought Tyson.

Razor Ruddock is the only other one I can think of.

I just changed my mind. Razor Ruddock is in the same boat, he lost every match he had against a boxer who others consider great.

Mike tyson knocked out Larry Holmes though...

Personally, I think Lennox Lewis was best. He beated Tyson, Holyfield, and knocked out Riddic Bowe in the 1988 Olympics,( he beated every man he ever faced.)

You have to be kidding ....Larry was almost 40. So you think Larry is better than Ali because he destroyed Ali in 1980?

Larry was knocked out once in his career, Tyson was knocked out by 5 men.

Larry was 37 years old when Tyson destroyed him. The same age Corrie sanders was when he destroyed Klitschko!

michael had some of the best head movement of any fighter ever. superior defensive skills and decent, not great, footwork. as an amatuer his skills were really showcased. as a pro he simply didnt need the skills for almost all of his opponents. roy jones gets the same knock. morons who say he wasnt great cause he didnt fight great fighters. he destroyed who was put in front of him at the time. same as mike. to say he was one dimensional is simply incorrect.

Larry was 38, and well past his prime, he was also coming off of two losses in a row and a 21 month retirement when he fought Mike. Try to have respect for the greats and also try to know what you are talking about.

Roy was great and Roy beat great fighters...ever hear of James Toney or Bernard Hopkins???

Mike was one dimentional and lost by KO to every great fighter he faced, and also to a bum or two.

Do you even know anything about boxing???

ahhh maybe one or two things. check out my profile. mike was not one dimensional. period. the times he got schooled in the ring had nothing to do with athletic ability. mike has lived a crazy life and outside factors played a big part alla michael moorer and many others. you are 100% correct though about holmes. at 37 when he beat mike he was coming off a 2 year layoff and back to back 15 rnd wars with michael spinks. although he did go on to fight wars against mercer, holyfield, jessie ferguson, and 1 or 2 others in there.

It's true, but people will always wonder what the fight would have been like had the pre-prison Tyson fought Evander.
