Liddell vs. Rampage RANT
OK....I am getting tired of people stating that Dana White is setting Rampage up to lose and setting Chuck up for the win.....I have to see what people think.
First of all..is someone supposed to get a red carpet to the title shot? Hell NO...both these men are fighters and that's what they do MF Fight. Rampage knew from day 1 when he signed with the UFC he would get a shot at Chuck...he is a professional and he should be ready regardless if he has got any heart...I mean, what the **** is he needs a few more fights? Joe Seversen has fought two quick fights that mise well have been high intensity sparring.....
that's all I have to say about this...people dont know what the hell they are talking about!

Rampage has been around so he should know whats up. If not then he's in the wrong sport. All I can say is that he better be ready, because the Iceman d*mn sure will be.

rampage wanted another fight in the ufc before he fought chuck, so what. its no big deal really, think about it. this is his first time in the ufc which has diff fans, diff fighters, diff rules and a diff ring for christ sakes. one side of me thinks it woulda been a smart move for him to postpone, but i also think that he will be fine without that 2nd fight. either way, i think its gonna be a good fight with lots of hard punches that could honestly go either way quite easilly.

this fight will not be easy for chuck! hell, he may even lose again.

Chuck should win this fight.

I dont think for any reason that Rampage NEEDS another warm up fight before Chuck. he has been fihgting top guys his whole career, this is nothing new to him. and what if he lsot his next warm up fight, then that screws up his shot at Chuck. BUT i guess for whatever if he WANTS another fight before Chuck that maybe the UFC should honour that. but i tihnk no matter what if uget a shot at the title u should take it.

pepper', well put. I completely agree.
I believe Pete Spratt once turned down a title shot...that's all I can think of though.

anyone who says "chuck should win" obviously hasnt watched many page fights or is just plain dilusional. rampage has just as much a chance as chuck if not more considering he owned chuck in there first fight.

Who the F^ck knows you guys??? Anything can happen in an mma fight and we should just leave it at that instead of getting into a pissing match about it.

If Rampage hadnt already beat his ass... I could see reason for people saying that Chuck "Should" win.
But considering this fight has already gone down... I see no reason to believe the outcome wont be the same.
Of coarse (as mentioned before) this is MMA, so anyone can win on any given night.
I just dont think it will. I think Rampage is gonna own him again. Chuck looked out matched in the first fight. (IMO)

Their last fight was at the end of 2003. Chuck is a much better fighter now..
i'm not going to try to predict this one...just hoping for another good fight from the two of them

N e thing can happen in mma, but Chuck should definetly win this fight!!! Rampage has fought top level competition through out his career, he shouldnt need a warm up fight. Plus at this point there is no legitimate contender who they can throw in there against chuck unless u consider The Dean of Mean a top contender...hahaha which personally i dont. Its a good buisness move by Dana and there givin us the fight everybodys wanted to c 4 awhile so im definetly not gonna bitch about it happenin sooner then later.

I fail to understand why people think Chuck 'should' win this fight. What evidence leads one to that conclusion? True he has a better record, but who has fought the better competition? I think Page has. Page is a better athlete, better boxing skills (Chuck relies on catching his opponent with that wild, swinging overhand right). Rampage has better head movement and footwork. And if the fight goes to the ground, Page has better ground and pound. Both are about equal in terms of grappling. I think Page will win.

alright, i will throw in my 2 cents... Rampage can take a punch and he proved he could take Chucks punch in the first fight (that means a lot). Rampage can also exchange pretty sick with hard counters that threw chuck off in the first match. With that being said they both have gone down from punches b4.. so who knows who it will be this time...
as far as different rules.... the only way I see this making a different fight is the UFC is a smaller area and shape that makes for different movements and could make a different fight... Chuck was moving backwards that whole fight and it looks like it was due to rampages counters that were pretty fierce and they had a lot of room in the ring..other than that there isn't much of a difference when it comes right down to the fight.
I have seen chuck fight better and I have seen rampage fight worse than that last match in 03... SOOOO, it all ***ends on fight night and how they show up... it should be good. When it comes to top level competitors it can go any way and it usually ***endson the night. If Rampage wins again it doesn't mean ramp can beat anyone that Chuck has, it just means that some styles are different and it causes problems in the fight no matter what... example; I have always had problems with guys with long arms... there are techniques to get inside, but it was always difficult for me if they had descent skills...
