As a huge fan of MMA ( I know, the Randy Orton avvy may throw you off :P)
But honestly man, just use forums..
Even a subsciption to such sites as mmaweekly.com .. Sherdog.com is kinda I dont know.. not so 'mature'

If I had the spare cash, I would be all over mmaweekly.com

As far as books and what..
Are you looking for a 'How to.. ' guide, or what?

I know Eddie Bravo, one of the UFC judges or whatever..
He has a book out I believe.. he is known to be one of best JJ practioners.
He actually trains 'high' and may even spar 'high' or something like that..

As for novels, I cannot see too much more then biographies to say the most..
Probably just the Shamrocks, Gracies.. the mainstream of today.

There are tons of magazines with regards to MMA

    Just do a search..
I say get on the forums though.. They got all the answers there..

BJ Penn's new book "mixed martial arts the book of knowledge" is really good. It covers almost every aspect of mma. Lots of pictures too.
