I have to give Hopkins much props for still being able to compete at his age, but I hope Wright beats him.
Actually he snuffed him which is even worse! executioner all the way!

Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, has ordered that 10% of Bernard Hopkins' $3 million purse be withheld for pushing Winky Wright in the face during Thursday's weigh-in. The incident initiated a brief scuffle. At the end of the month, the commission will rule on whether "The Executioner" will be fined or suspended over the incident.

I had Hopkins winning 116-112. I dont think he should be fined. It was a publicity stunt to sell tickets. It's not that big of a deal.
I wonder who pockets that $300,000?
I was wondering the same thing.Quote:

And even though I was HOPING that Wright won, I had a feeling Hopkins would be the victorious one.
Hopkins is a bad mofo in the boxing world... I really dig watching him box... a true warrior. nothing against wright.
I agree... I admire his gritty, mugging, style. I dont find it boring like most do. He is one of the craftiest fighters I have ever seen. He almost (the exception being the RJJ fight) always manages to turn the fight into an ugly grappling mess...which ends up favoring him, because he dominates withthose sneaky little right hand shots (the Jersey Joe hook) on the inside.Quote:
