Tito Vs. Shogun
That would have been a way better start in the UFC for Shogun. Tito was able to beat Wanderlei in UFC 47 or 49 I think. He's a strong guy, really knows how to use the cage and ground and pound.
Shogun is a very impressive fighter, ranked #1 in the LHWD, I don't think it's fair to feed him forest first.

I don't really see the difference between Forrest and Tito, to be honest, bro. Forrest more than held his own with Tito when they fought.
This is a great opportunity for Forrest, also...one he wouldn't want to pass up.
Although I would have liked Shogun to jump into the thick of things against Machida, I think it's definately a "fair" fight as is.

I have only seen some video clips of Shogun so I dont know much about him. But I wouldnt completely count Forrest out. He can take punishment and go the distance against most fighters. If he is on his back most of the time, then of course I dont see him doing much. Im pretty interested in this fight and it wouldnt hurt my feelings to see Forrest win. His fight with Ortiz was so awesome. Ortiz has a decent ground game as well, Forrest spralls pretty good. Like I say, Im not all that familiar with Shogun yet, everyone seems to be saying he will walk right though Forrest. I hope its good either way.

peace_frog,
If you want a great Shogun fight to watch, try to find him against Lil Nog in the MWGP 2005- it was many peoples' pick for fight on the year.

Wow, that is a great fight.
The fights in Pride are so different than UFC's. I like the longer rounds, it makes you wonder how the UFC fighters are even winded after 5 minute rounds.

Forrest is no joke. He lost a very close decision to Tito and besides his loss to Jardine he has done really well in the UFC. Shogun is a bad mo fo but so many of the pride guys are not taking well to being locked in a cage. Well see. Shogun's brother just got ktfo'd by robbie lawler who is, and ninja is very similar to shogun in style and athleticism.
