Pavlik KO's Taylor
Don't know if anyone saw the fight but Pavlik KO's Taylor in the 8th after getting of the canvas himself in the second. Very good fight and I think the Pavlik v. Calzagne fight should be huge now. Taylor was beat, no question. I am now a huge Pavlik fan, the kid has just as much skill as he does heart.

Yeah, I watched and living Little Rock now where Taylor is from, it was hard to see him go down. However, you can't stay on top forever. All in all, I thought it was damn good fight and good for the sport. My hat's off to Pavlik, because I thought that for sure he was going down in the 2nd.

I knew kelly would bang jermaine down. I thought he was gonna win by ko before the fight.
Then when i saw him get caught off guard in the second (very very poor defensive error by pavlik, his hands were nowhere near his hand, he was standing with his guard down) and he went down, i saw him get back up and thought that he can still win if he makes it through the round...2 rounds later when his head had cleared and was more stable again then you started seeing the real pavlik as he started cornering taylor against the ropes...when this happened i was just waiting for jermaine to get bashed up...then it happened in the seventh.
Miranda took more of a punishment than taylor did tbh, as soon as pavlik gets you in the corner or against the ropes and starts unloading with his right then unless you can get the fuk outa there, you are going down lol.
For someone to beat pavlik they cant be a counter puncher, i can only see bhop getting banged down aswell...the way to beat pavlik is to rough him inside the ring with infighting and v fast handspeed, i think that if pavlik moved up and fought joe calzaghe that calzaghe would take him. Pavlik's defense is not good enough and he would take too many shots against an on form calzaghe. Kessler also would prob be able to take pavlik in my opinion.
But in november we have calzaghe vs kessler! What a battle that should be...it would be great if pavlik can then move up to fight the winner of the calzaghe/kessler fight...i honestly think joe calzaghe will beat kessler and then beat pavlik/bhop whoever is there to fight him in his next 3 fights and then he'll retire totally unbeaten.
All credit to pavlik for winning, and to taylor though for showing some good boxing skill. Kudos to both for putting on a great fight, very exciting.

A) You are right Pavlik is a very good fighter. However, I think Winky or B-Hop would give him fits. I think they are too crafty for Pavlik's VERY basic Jab, Jab, right hand (basically the only thing he throws).
B) Calzaghe is the most overrated fighter since Ricky Hatton. He hasnt beaten ANYONE. I fully expect Kessler to finally expose that fraud. Joe C. wouldnt stand a chance against Pavlik. He doesnt punch hard enough to get him out of there, and his "slap speed" would be nullified by Pavlik's "crushing" straight right hands.
And Calzaghe beat B-Hop?? lolololol- Are you serious? The only Advantage Joe would have in that fight, is that Hopkins is 75years old. But even that doesnt matter!! Hopkins would still whoop him!! Quick... name ONE quality fighter that Calzaghe has beaten. Wasnt his last fight against the LOSER of "The Contender" REALITY TV SHOW? lol!!
