Wandy vs. Mezger
I was watching a replay of this fight last night and Mezger was more than holding his own in this fight till an exchange late in the fight that was punctuated by what looked like an intentional head butt from Wandy. I was just curious if anyone else had seen this fight and noticed the same thing.

He just leaned in dropped the head butt and finished off the fight with some hooks and a knee. Either way great fight and heres to hoping Wandy clears out the UFC at 205

Mezger is a VERY underrated fighter...
He just has a habit of getting in brawls and getting KO'd.
That fight with Chuck was legendary!
But yes i know what youre talking about VS. Wand, i think he headbutted him... Thats just me

Mezger was really cool to watch fighting, he was one of the fighters who would really put on a show, flashy kicks and all.
He was even better in Pride then in UFC.

I would have loved to have seen that last fight with him and Tito. The Chuck fight was epic.

Yeah the one that was supposed to happen at UFC 50!
Too bad he had the stroke or w/e... I was looking forward to Tito smashing him!

Tito single handedly retired a whole team. Remember when he was actually good and took fighting serious?

Guy has never made a big deal about it, he said "It happens", he was getting rocked before that and was on his way out regardless but yes there was an old school IVC headbutt thrown in there from Wand.
Mezger always lacked that killer instinct and his Karate kicks were relatively weak. He had an extremely well balanced game but without the killer instinct, it cost him many times. He would rock someone and let them recover then tap gloves with them. He could give anyone to this day hell in a fight at 205 IMO.***No source checks!!!***

I loved his punch/kick combos. He was on the first OG MMA game, I still have it , he was my favorite.
What ever happened to him??
