UFC have released Werdum????? Affliction did not want him either?
http://mmajunkie.com/news/13325/fabr...ase-by-ufc.mma
At UFC90 he came him a lot bigger then before, ok he got beat but whats the deal, i mean the guy still has plenty of fight in him why was he released?
Affliction did not want him because they stated that he was asking to much money to fight for them.Last edited by yannick35; 11-29-2008 at 06:16 PM.

Wow, he's a top 5 HW IMO.
He looked like he had worked on his striking a lot, after working with chute box, and he's got the tightest BJJ in the HW class, better than Nog even.

Old news... Surpising nonetheless.
Very good HW. Not top 5. Barely in the top 10 IMO. But nonetheless, a good fighter.
Even if he is from Chute Boxe.

Chute Boxe is not what it was and neither is Werdum for that matter. THe man is top 15 no matter what but suspect striking and sometimes just seems to not be into it.

I really thought that GG was the next big thing even after Randy but Werdum just put it on him. He made him look terrible. Werdum was the first loss of GG's career and I figured that he would come out looking to avenge that. After his last fight though it looks like GG is back on track.

That will be a war.

I FUKING HATE DANA WHITE ! UFC ran by a bunch of POS. Used a fighter and threw him out. That's why I was saying , Fedor would've fought in UFC , but the momos gave them contract that :
#1. He can fight in UFC only, nowhere else , not even Sambo competitions !
#2. He cannot break the contract EVER, while UFC can do that at any moment!
#3. He'll be given 8 fights in 2 years and if he won't be beat or at the end of his contract will be a Champion , he cannot leave or retire . His contract is automatically prolonged until someone beats him.
That's not all ! All Im saying look what they offering to Fedor ! Imagine what regular mortals get ! I'd like to see Dana get his jaw broken one day !

I think GG vs. Lesnar would be a great fight. I still give it to Lesnar though. His wrestling is just to good.

I think GG needs a few more big wins before tackling Lesner though, but he has what it takes. It killed me to watch him fight Werdum again, glad UFC's sticking with him.

He kicked some ass in his last fight...
I say give him Shane Carwin or Cain for his next fight, and then throw him to Lesnar...
After Nog sub's him...

You think that he takes Carwin or Cain? I think that is a great test either way. All three of those guys are the future of the division or at the very least touted that way.

I think Cain has more hype behind him right now, but IMO Carwin is the better fighter.
Hes roughly the size of Lesnar and packs more power in his punches...

How do you think Nog matches up with Cain and Carwin?

Your absolutly right he looked good, only thing I thought he was a little flat on his feet. He's going have to keep moving not to risk taking a big shot from Lesnar. If anybodys ever had a chance at a one punch win....its Lesnar.
I keep having flash backs of the shot Herring took, my God.

I am actually impressed by how straight Lesnar punches.

Text book, and works well..Heavy hands, clip put Randy down and full contact made Hesath fly across the ring.
I have a friend, he's 6'4" 317 and punchs the same way, makes up like 10' distance between himself and the other person with one step/swing, hard to get away from. Lesnar reminds of that so much.

I think GG will close the gap... And he is a better grappler... The only issue is will he be able to handle the strength of Lesnar?
How do you think Nog matches up with Cain and Carwin?

I sincerely hope that Nog breaks Mir's arm. Well we were on the topic of Nogs guard....
