Gilbert Yvel will beat Fedor for sure
I am putting all my money on Gilbert Yvel, he is one hell of a fighter, man he stood all 3 rounds getting pounded by Josh Barnett who doesnt even deserve a shot at Fedor 35% bodyfat.
Yvel should get the shot for sure.
There should also be a rematch Arlovski should fight Fedor again and this time avoid the lucky punch and KO Fedor.
That is all, hey who will win the Royal Rumble anyone?????

anyways Fedor owns Gilbert in the first, Fedor needs to fight Cro Cop again,Or lesnar,or Destroy Mir,Or Barnett. Then just retire already

Gilbert did impress me with his toughness though. He is very very dangerous on his feet. To bad Barnett could get mount like he was fighting a child.

Fedor doesn't have 35% bodyfat...Some people have fighters body type with deep veins etc. Plus its MMA not bodybuilding competition. Im sure even if u looked like Ronnie Colman there would've been more women who'd prefer have sex with Fedor than u. hehehe
Its all about confidence , not muscles. I had diesels momos calling cops on me because they were scared to fight. Im not even counting how many times I've heard "Ima shoot him if he touches me" from 250lbs 4%bf dude. In Fedor's fights , Randleman got kimora armbar - why he didn't flex his muscles against the guy with 35% bf as u say ? Or why Colman didn't ? Or why single digits bf% didn't make Andrey Arlovskiy's chin better ? People can run cycles , lift 1000lbs etc, but in fighting game it means nothing. It might even hurt u because u'll become stiffer and slower.Last edited by PrideFEDOR; 01-27-2009 at 09:58 AM.

there is only 1 heavyweight that has a chance at beating Fedor. and that is Brock Lesner. And it is a legit shot. I am a huge Fedor fan, but one cannot overlook Brocks set of physical gifts. I have a few friends who are top notch heavyweights in this country that have trained with him, and they say he is like no other they have ever rolled with. He is a genetically gifted athlete. Only 1 other fighter reminds me a little of him and that is Randleman. As he is a genetic freak!
Friend of mine said that Brock is the best pound for pound athlete that has ever walked through doors of the Arizona Training Center doors. thats impressive for a 275# man.... said he had something like a 36" verticle, it may have even been more, I cant remember.

agreed. Brock is legit but let's see how he does against Mir in the rematch before we start crowning him the next in line

First , Lesnar need to deserve to fight Fedor. U guys are unbelievable. He did not even had a single fight as a champion(did not defended his belt once). He has 3 fights and won a crown from 45 year old many times KO'd Randy Couture. UFC HW division is a JOKE now. So what if he's 275 lbs and Im 280 and 6'3 ( If I run 500mg of test a week I'll be 320 at the end of the 14 week cycle ) it doesn't mean anything how big he is. Pound for Pound athlete. Will he be able to fight 5 rounds at 275 ? No way. He was gasping for air in Randy's fight. Please bro, name someone who deserves to have a fight. Maybe I think I can beat Fedor or Lesnar or both at the same time lol 275 of muscles doesn't mean anything. A win over 45 year old grandpa even if its Randy Couture isn't impressive. Lets see Lesnar fight Arlovskiy first and another 4-5 guys and beat them all before he even deserves to be in the same ring with Fedor. JMO...
Oh yea , look at the picture and tell me where u guys see 35% bf in Fedor ?

I see A clinch, throw, brutal GNP. Fedors GNP is on another level from Barnett.

So true. Barnett is a very big boy though. I think the lack of real competition over the years will hurt barnett

Fedor Question
I could probably google this but I'm sure there are tons of people in here who can answer this question. What does Fedor practice other than Sambo? Is he familiar with combat sambo in addition to the form used in competitions?
I wrestled from age 6 through highschool and in that time I practiced the usual greco roman but also sambo and freestyle. I attended a few of Matt Hughes camps. I rolled with him a few times too. He was actually the one who got me into freestlye/sambo in addition to the Greco Roman.
I know Hughes owes a lot of his succes to training all three forms, does Fedor do this too?
Heres what I learned in my experience:
Combat Sambo :A combination of Endless submissions on every body part and throws
Greco: Take downs/escapes. The conditioning is insane. lol we tortured our lungs in so many ways preping for meets. Gotta love ironman with 3 guys larger than you for 20 minutes non stop.
Freestyle: Rolls/ No way are you keeping a talented freestlye wrestler on his back. This was one of my favorites because it teaches you confidence off balance. Your body learns exactly how to react in unusual situations.
Sorry for the long post, this Fedor talk brings back memories lol

a little bit of everything. It's truly the reason he is so great. He can take the fight anywhere and not skip a beat
