    Marquardt vs Gouveia?

Anyone catch this fight Saturday night (2/21/09)? It was an under card fight, but Marquardt landed one of the sweetest combos I've seen in a while. Nate the Great is looking solid...hoping he can do some great things at 185!

Yes I saw it ... it was on the main card, not the under card.

That combo was out of a video game ... street fighter style.

my bad...you're correct on the main card...I guess I meant it was one of the earlier televised fights...lol.

I said the same thing to my wife...."it looked like a combo out of a video game"!!

I'm a Colorado native...so I'm really rooting for him, and he didn't disappoint!!

^^^Sad but probably true. Unless he can get a takedown and lay on some heavy gnp, I mean I think thats the only way you can beat him. Back him to the cage, take him down and just lay it on him. I made it sound easy didnt I lol.

You're absolutely right though! If he stands with Anderson...I think he gets stuck in the clinch and takes the worst of it.

HOWEVER...if he can use that big ass frame to get Silva on the ground and then pound him out, he's got a chance.

he is to good of a figher not to have a chance but that being said I think Silva puts the stamp on him once again. I would be more interested in Silva vs Maia honestly
