GSP vs. Silva?
Ok, we got to see BJ vs. GSP, and we all know the outcome of the fight. Luckily, I was pulling for GSP 'cause I think he is a great fighter. In fact, pound for pound there may only be one fighter better than him: Anderson Silva.
Why can't we see a matchup between Silva and GSP? If the money is right, I know they'd do it. Silva already moved UP and owned James Irvin. So why can't one (or both) of them move a little, find some common ground, and brawl? Ain't gotta be a title defense or nothing.
I mean, Silva has made a clown show of the middleweight division, and GSP owns welterweight. Neither one of them has been challenged by their own weight class for a while. This would be a money fight.
Your thoughts?

Alves is next in line for GSP. Thats already been stated.
And AS has a fight against Thales.
So after these two, i still think it wont happen.
AS says hes ready to retire after this year.
Maia, Toquinho, Wanderlei possibly, etc... There are other guys who are ready for the shot.

I know. It doesn't make sense as far as the title picture or anything like that goes. I just want to see those two fight, I think they are probably the two best in the biz right now. BJ is up there too.

I think Anderson would beat or hang with anyone from 170 to 205. That being said there are only a few Heavys that I think could push him.

Yeah, BJ Penn is up there probably in the top five fighters going right now. So he lost to GSP. Big deal. To even be able to consider yourself able to get in the octagon with GSP is a big deal. BJ has pretty much dominated the lightweight division. I also agree with brown ninja, there are very few fighters in any class that could give Silva a challenge

1) Rampage
2) Hendo
3) Maia
4) Machida
5) Arona
6) Belfort
There's 6 guys right there that could give AS a run for his money. Not to mention GSP.
I think AS is a great fighter and probably #2 in the world P4P, but the P4P G.O.A.T. is and always has been, Emelianenko, Fedor.

Thank you WAR, it amazes me how many people leave him out of the P4P discussion considering he has never had a "legit" loss in my opinion.
Btw I am disappointed that Rampage and Rashad didn't get the next fight because I really wanted to see them fight and unfortunately I think Machida will win against Rashad.

I didn't bring Fedor into the discussion, but he is one of the best. I don't know enough about him and who he's fought to say he is THE best though.
I don't know if Rampage is disciplined enough to give AS too much of a run. AS is just so patient. Machida probably would be an ok fight, but nothing to get bent out of shape over. I think Evans would give a better fight to AS than would most of the guys on that list.
I really wanted to see Evans-Rampage as well.

Would Arona fight Silva?

I dont see why he wouldnt.
Granted we havent seen Ricardo fight for 2+ years, but Arona seemed like on any given night, he could beat anyone in the world.
Back when Wandy was in his prime, Dan Henderson, and yes, even Fedor.
