Nick Diaz vs Shamrock
Did anyone else watch this fight last night? The whole show was pretty decent but the main event was excellent. It was never even close. Diaz exposed Shamrock for what a lot of people have been calling him for quite some time.....washed up. Shammy was totally out classed from the start.

Diaz worked him over badly! To bad he's and a**hole! Not a big fan of the Diaz brothers or the Shamrock brothers for that matter.
I really enjoyed the Scott Smith vs Benji Radach fight!! Smith has some heart.
How about that Cyborg "girl"...she's a beast!

Hell yeah she is a beast, if that Japanese girl was smart at all she would have taken the chance she was given to not take the fight when Cyborg showed up 7 lbs overweight. What a joke man.

Cyborg is gonna beat the shit outta Gina.
But back to the topic, Shamrock is done. Again. Finally.

I hope they feed him to Tito. That wouldn't be a nice retirement gift

Gina will be beat ugly in that fight. A nice push kick will only get you so far. i think the better fight would be Cyborg vs Cyborg. my money is on her.

I think Diaz gets a bad wrap because he is .. well far from media savy....he is very very skilled... always liked him... not many guys could gogoplata anyone in a fight... let alone Gomi.
-
04-22-2009, 09:30 PM #17
especially when Gomi was still good! I think Gomi got aids in Vegas and has never recovered.

can anyone out there finish Diaz between 155 or 170? Maybe Alves, GSP, or Penn but who else if even those guys?

^ I think Nick Diaz is very good. But he doesnt fight well at 155-60lbs. His weight class is 170.
On a side note though, i think he could beat more top guys at 170 than he would at 155.
1. Shinya Aoki
2. B.J. Penn
3. Eddie Alvarez
4. Tatsuya Kawajiri
5. Joachim Hansen
6. JZ Calvancante
Would all likely beat him.
Whereas i think he could beat top guys like Jon Fitch, Swick, Condit, Hughes, and maybe Thompson.

^^^ agreed aside from Fitch.... think that would be a great one with Fitch eeking out a decision.

IDK, would be interesting to see though!
-
04-23-2009, 05:05 PM #22
I would have no problem forking over a couple bucks to see it for sure
-
04-23-2009, 09:10 PM #23
Thompson? Are you referring to Nick Thompson? Diaz would crush in my opinion. But on a side note Diaz would beat James Thompson as well

I hate to sound like a homer but I think Diaz could beat anyone of the 155'ers out there aside from Penn

^^^ Hansen is excellent.. I would love to see he and Diaz square off... that would be a very high level match indeed.
-

Hansen is tough but if Diaz can stay away from the clinch and the knees I think he could win. Kawajari is amazing and relies so much on strength and power but look at that Melendez fight. I think Diaz has the frame and stand up to win
