^^^Thats where I knew him from, they used to start him and his oppenent in the down position. He moved well. All I can say is he's lucky theres no soccer kicks.

The thing is.....how is he supposed to block a punch?
He was good at wrestling because hes all core, but in wrestling you don't have to block fists or elbows

Well i hear he is to be considered a downed fighter throughout the match so no kicks.
Which works out well for him, cause if someone is close enough to punch him, hes close enough to take him down.

What he accomplished in wrestling was very impressive but I also believe he wrestled in a state not predominantly known for there wrestling like alabama I know it was some where down south.

To make matters worse...Maynard wasn't allowed to punch! His modified gloves kept slipping off (due to the humidity in the barn/arena) and thus was told he wasn't allowed punch. Don't know how he would've won except out scoring his opponent with take downs? Guy's got heart though...

Do you think his punches would've made a difference whether he was wearing gloves or not? I don't. They should have let him anyways, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
