    Boxing & bodybuilding

i want to start hitting the bag around for a little cardio...my question is, is there a training day that would work best for it.. for example i wouldent want to do it right after a chest day...what day would be best? maybe an off day?

    hope that made sense

    thanks

ya i use to box and also did mma for a number of years. personaly i think any days fine minus shoulders, because if your hitting bag need to keep arms up and if tired already your cardio session will likely not to last as long because of being fatigued in the shoulders. thats just my opinion.

If you are throwing your punches correctly, your hips and back will actually feel the effects the next day, not necessarily your upper front quadrant. Granted, you gotta hold your hands up and there is a little chest and shoulder work involved in swinging, but not there is back and hip rotation work.

    Agree!

I do MMA/Boxing, but I've put my weight training first to gain some mass and strength over the next 6 months... the Net is: only doing mma/boxing twice a week and at least 2 days away from delts

    Filipino Boxing Updates:

    Hello!! Everyone!!

I've just found out that another Pinoy boxing champ, Nonito Donaire, has signed a deal with Bob Arum. Apparently, Donaire decided to junk his contract with Gary Shaw because he is not getting any fights. His last fight was against Luis Maldonado last December and he needs a fight to keep him in top shape.

I think this is a good decision on Donaire's part. Arum is perfectly capable of setting up the fights he need to become successful in his boxing career. Inactivity can cost him his title just as in the case of Florante Condes.

    thanks!

    Dean Graziosi
