Tell you what, not to change the subject but I would love to see Penn fight Gsp in this shape and intensity.

I hear ya, but Griffin was already softened up. It was bad as bad gets. Reminded me of the movie Friday when Red ran back to the car after D-bo punched him and Smokey said "He gonna cry in the car". You know Forrest had tears running down his face. Going to be hard to come back around after running out like that.

forrest has alot of fight left in him. as for him running out, i think it was because he was absolutely embarrased. he really thought that he could win and was made to look like an amature. loosing a fight is hard and everyone takes it differently, alot of times you dont even know how to take it. it was hard for me to watch, they both were 2 of my favs. happy and sad at the same time, but amazed would probally be the best word.

I heard the rumor, and from lots of people online but can't find it anywhere to use as a source
griffen was rushed out of the fight because he couldn't hear, he told his trainers he could hear and they rushed him out and to the ER. where he reported as having a dislocated jaw and not able to hear out of his left ear..
anybody else heard about this, or is it just a rumor?

Forrest got spanked, that sent a message out to the LHW division, I think AS should step up to this division and start fighting other fighters for sure!

ya i'm thinking it is too.. thats why i made sure to point out it was just people talking no source..
but i will say if it is true, it would make sense on some levels. griffin didn't seem "out of it" when he gave up (and lets face it he gave up not TKO).. so i would say that it makes some sense that if he knew something actually was wrong to quite... but why run out of the ring, don't they have actual ring doctors that could look at him, he didn't need to run out like a b*tch

according to dana white in the post fight press conference, Silva asked him to move up for good now, and would give up his belt if dana white would allow him to move up.. which dana white said sure

i think the whole motherf*ckin fight was thrown. griffin was punching so slow. now penn vs. florian was a different story, but not gonna hijack a thread.

you cant be serious. if someone is going to throw a fight what is the point in letting him knock you down three times? watch the fight again and put it on mute so you cant hear the commantotors and you will see the shots, forrests frustrations and andersons dominance. look at forrest's face after the first knock down, the fight was over then. he just missed with 30 strikes in a row and AS threw 1 and put him on his butt. after that he knew he couldnt win and was ready for the fight to be over with. when he stood up he went into desparation mode and started charging and swingin for the fences. it shows what kind of heart he has bc he got back up and stood in there when he knew it was a loosing battle.

though it was a jab.. watch the replay.. i did a few times and from the reverse angle they have , not the angle that they should live.. but it clearly shows that the punch, though a jab, landed clean and his whole head shakes and honestly i'm starting to really believe the dislocated jaw story, watch it, his jaw gets rocked..
and as far as the "jab" slow punch story people keep bringing up... lets be honest sometimes thats all it takes. there have been great fighters that have gone down over a jab, there have been amazing fights ended with just a simple punch. its not the first time a jab has ever knocked somebody out.
also, though it sounds so out there, there is truth behind it... think about how many fighters have got knocked out hard and never again could take a punch again.. maybe that evans knock out, which was a very bad knock out.. 13 punches strait to the chin, half of which he was already out pretty much just not stopped.... who knows maybe griffin lost his chin after being knocked out really bad one time...

It came out that the jaw story is a farce. I really don't know what to think. Forest is very tough and I honestly had him winning but he was out classed. I wanna see Page vs Anderson.

(there was only 1:37 left in the first roun, not to nit-pick). i think that reason forrest looked so slow was b/c he was trying to be paitent and pick his shots and not go toe to toe w AS like he does most of his opponents. the prob is forrest doesnt know how to be paitient and thats what made his look slow/sloppy, not to mention AS head movement wich will just piss you off if you r trying to hit him.

Poor Forest. I hope he gets an easier shot next time around.

That's a really interesting fight there. I don't know what would happen even, but Rampage probably has the best boxing (hands) in the LHW class, would be intresting to see if Silva wants to exchange with him, or would he just take him down?
A. Silva has never really even been rocked, or tested on his feet since coming to the UFC.

who here thinks forrest will want a rematch?
will he try to win back his pride? or move on
-

I doubt he wants a rematch....he may say publicly that he wants one but I think we all know that deep down inside he would be shitting his pants.
I also would like to see Page vs Silva. I just couldn't see Silva dominating Rampage like that but if he did....well that would just be scary.

i dont think page would fair well against AS. forrest looked alot sharper on his feet than page when they matched up. page does have KO power wich makes nothing ever a sure thing, however i see it looking alot like the forrest fight. 2 mins of page swinging and missing and AS circling and getting pages timing, page getting aggressive and paying for it.
As for silvas chin, it has to be top notch. you can see even when he gets hit (rarely) his facial expression never changes, he pushes foward at the same pace. he kind of just eats it and acts like it never happened. also any man that will put his hands by his side and let someone punch at his face has to have faith in his chin. hes been training his whole life and im sure its been tested at some point in time in the gym (wand and machida as training partners), and for him to still do it means he must have it.
