MMA keeps evolving all the time
I guess that looking at CroCop recent fight against Santos i cant say he put on a bad performance.
By looking at is older fights in Pride i say he was quit the same, except that in Pride most fighter feared is stand up and would not engage with him.
What i can see with the new breed of fighters is that they use a lot more angles, clinch and knees then before.
2 fighter that come in mind is GSP and Anderson Silva who keep getting better with every fight.
Also fighters are getting better at studying there opponants and i guess that does make a big difference.
I am very curious to see where MMA will be in 10 years and to say that Vince McMahon said it would bankrupt.

The fighters is what's impressive, right where you think everything has been said and done something new pops up.
The upsets, Leben lost is last UFC fight arm triangle chock, that was just sick and impressive.
Nog is pertty much the only guy in the old generation that still stands out, Herring, Crocop, just don't.

I had not seen Jake Rosholt in awhile but i thought he was one of the crappiest fighters i had seen. Then when i saw that he was fighting Leben i swore he was done. But i have to say he has improved so much from the last time i saw him that i was thrown back. His striking has gotten 100% better. He also outstruck Leben in that fight. Got to give him credit for that. & of course winning submission of the night

I really hope Fedor wins the fight against Rodgers, of course its Fedor he will come in with a better game plan then Arlovski and if he takes Rodgers down, and control him there he will win.
Not sure if he can stand with a tank like Rodgers.

Crocop is NOT the same fighter he is now. To think he is, is absurd. A few years ago, Crocop was giving the best HWs in MMA great fights, now he cant beat Cheick Kongo, JDS, GG and friggin Alistair Overeem.
If MMA has evolved as much as you guys think, Lesnar wouldnt be a champ, Guida wouldnt be winning fights against great competition, Aoki wouldnt be a top 5 LW, Coleman wouldnt be winning by doing the same thing he did a decade ago, and the LHW champions as early as last year wouldnt have got embarassed by Machida and Silva just months later.

HAHA, who brought boxing into this discussion?
Man, you guys are sensitive.
By your logic MMA hasnt had a great match in its existence. No Thrilla in Manilla type fights. Not even close.
The bottom line is there have been FANTASTIC fights in boxing and alot more to come. And there have been some great fights in MMA as well.
