News on Anderson Silva VS Vitor Belfort
I am so disapointed
UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva will not defend his title Jan. 2 at UFC 108 againstVitor Belfort.
Ed Soares, the manager for Silva, told ESPN.com today that his fighter is still recovering from elbow surgery. The elbow isn't expected to fully heal in time for the scheduled bout with Belfort.
"The fight is still on; it just won't happen Jan. 2," Soares said. "The doctor wants Anderson to take more time to let the injury heal properly."

Seems most of the main event fights are being cancelled. I wonder when GSP fights again.

I don't know if I would go as far as saying he's scared.... but the dudes have trained together and he knows what's up. I believe most fighters that are on top feel confident and feel they have a good chance and can beat anyone. I will say that I think he knows Vitor isn't the same as a lot of his opponents he's faced in the past and Silva knows there is a really good chance he will lose. I think he's buying some time to see if something else starts to play off or maybe Vitor will lose his fire a little b4 they fight. Either way AS rushing into this one probably isn't a good move.

The fight to me just makes sense and needs to happen. I would still give edge to Anderson but it should be very interesting and competitive

I doubt Silva is scared and would bet he wins this fight.

I also think it would be an amazing fight. I also believe it is a fight where both have the same chance at winning and for different reasons. I was really looking forward to watching this. My 2 fave fighters of all time going at it is not something that happens frequently
