DON'T TAKE DIET PILLS! you may of meant something else but with all the cardio martial arts use diet pills will screw you up for diet you want about 4-cards/2-3protein/1-fat the extra cards help you train longer without running out of energy which means you can train more and get stronger the issue with protein and doing martial arts is it has the lowest lvl of energy in will impart to your body although is needed to build muscles as far as what supplements you need i cant say were do you feel your lacking? add what ever is needed to fill the void if you are not sure the wright down what you eat day to day and any supplements you take now also get your height, weight, bf percentage and ask the person who is training you

In my experience a diet needs to keep a fighter just below peak competition weight Then you can loosen up and gain strength just before an event instead of the boxers favorite of starving before a fight. Measure your form by your strength to weight ratio and cardio in runs 2-4 miles, forget 'cutting up' you are a fighter not a body builder.

I'm a trainer and I see a lot of stuff out there. I'm working with a doctor that does IV bag rehydration right before a fight. A guy loses 20lbs in a day. Yes, 20lbs of water weight. With rehydration he's 20lbs heavier the next day for the fight. It's incredible. It just can't be good for you but the fighters do well and have good endurance. There's a lot of good stuff that goes into the body through the IV's. I would not recommend this without a Dr's supervision. You could kill yourself. It's just amazing what athletes are willing to do to get an edge.

This is the exact opposite of what 99% of MMA fighters do. Most "walk around" at around 30 pounds over fight weight , lose around 20 - 25 lbs during camp and shed the rest in the sauna. Most fighters that don't cut weight end up being out sized and out strengthed.

A notable exception is Frankie Edgar, who doesn't cut any weight and runs circles around his opponents and outlasts them. He has crazy endurance because he isn;t losing any stamina that cutting weight brings.
